alright mates?

I have a tendency to kinda freak a bit if even a few millimetres worth of white is showing on my fingernails. I grab the clippers and cut them down as far as they will go without being sore but with no white at all.

Anyone else irritated by something as small as this? or indeed anything else considered trivial?

I also freak out if my nails get long. I hate them being long. Its kind of compulsive for me.

I also freak out if wind is blowing in my face. I don't know why. I just don't like it. Its not so much wind outside but I can't stand putting down the windows in my car. I guess that makes me weird.   :D
Every day brings me one step closer to being myself.

Ahh, I love driving with the windows opened and music on in the car. It feels weird to drive without music and window open to be honest lol. Then again, I am in the UK so I have to window up more than I'd like.

I'm trying to figure out why the nail thing affects me so much  :-\ probably because they make me think of femininity or something

I like them around 1mm.  At that length they're useful but don't hit my keyboard when I type.
Oh I'm a lucky man to count on both hands the ones I love

A blah blog

Nails are white? I wouldn't know, I've compulsively bitten my nails my whole life. I start biting skin when I run out of nail.  ::)

I actually usually ignore my fingernails, I don't even know where the clippers are right now. XD But I find it more practical to keep them longer on my thumbs and forefingers, even when I do cut them. At any rate, my hands are going to look feminine no matter what I do to them.

What I can't stand are really thick hairs sprouting right between my eyebrows. I can see them getting ready to appear days before they actually emerge. Damn things. Also, blackheads/whiteheads on my nose, I will attack them until I bleed if that's what it takes to clear them out. I'm a little obsessive about blackheads.

I used to be unable to stop biting my nails.  But then I got braces and it was too hard to try to bite my nails.  so I stopped.  Now i let my nails grow out until I can't type, and I cut them down to about 1mm.

I keep my nails too long.  I can't stand when there's skin showing above my nail.  I just find it so irratating and it's so sensitive.  I don't think many people really care, but I really should start getting used to having them shorter, as irratating as I find it.  I think my hand look pretty feminine as it is, even if my dark arm hair is starting to make it's way up my hands and I have (thin) hairs between both sets of knuckles.  So the nail thing doesn't really help.  It's just so annoying to have them so short.
In between the lines there's a lot of obscurity.
I'm not inclined to resign to maturity.
If it's alright, then you're all wrong.
Why bounce around to the same damn song?

I'm the same way about my nails. It's not an aesthetics thing, I just hate the way it feels lol. Been that way my whole life.

I dunno, they don't bother me. They usually get to two millimetres before I bite them all off again, but sometimes my thumb nails get longer, and it annoys me to no end. I don't think it's a femininity/masculinity thing though, fingernails have to get pretty long to be classed as girly.

Yes.
And then when I'm done with mine I attack my girlfriend's.

Interesting topic. I have a habit of biting my nails, so they've always been short. But I don't think nail length is going to help or hinder your ability to pass. My brother has REALLY long nails for a guy. The only kind of comments he's ever gotten were, "Wow, your nails are so long, how do you grow them like that?!" A lot of women envy his long fingernails, lol. IMO, long nails are a sign of healthy nails and hands, not so much a gender indicator.

I agree interesting topic....I never really thought to look at my nails and measure how long they are and after reading this I find myself playing with what little nails I do have lol....I don't bite mine off but I am always picking at them so I guess they don't really have much of a chance to get very long anyway......on another note the whole blackheads thing GEEEEZ...the worst part of "T" is the acne that has started to breakout..IT'S DRIVING ME NUTS! lol

I bit my nails sometimes, usually on my left hand when they start to get in the way of playing guitar, which is why I let the nails on my right hand grow a bit so I can strum if there is no pick. But then sometimes I get bored and bite it all off...

On the other hand, I really hate it when my toenails get longer and cut them asap, which I think I should stop because I might end up with like, no more toenails D:

When I presented as female, I used to grow my nails out really long. Now, however, I can't even stand seeing the white part.

I keep my nails very short, but that's almost entirely because I can't play guitar with long-ass nails. I actually (very, very ashamed and kinda amused at this) went through a phase where I was younger and trying to force myself to be uber-girly where I wore fake nails X_X

I get really pissed off when my hair gets too long, chop a bunch off, and end up with this horrible somehow-girly haircut.

I bit my nails for years, but one day I just stopped. Haven't done it since. (I think part of it was that I wore out the enamel on one of my front teeth and now it hurts to bite them)

Now I keep them short, but I actually like having a little bit of white showing, just because I have really nice crisp white white nails, and I think they look good. They only really bother me when they start to stick out past the ends of my fingers (speaking of which, my index fingers are getting to that point...)

eyyy this turned out to be bigger than I thought  8)

Interesting to hear similar and different views. Awesome.

I also get irritated by when my hair feels too long (it's only grown about an inch and a half but it feels too long even though it still looks alright [I think!]) I couldn't resist the temptation of shaving my sideburns back a bit and trimming both them and around my ears as best I could.

I seem to be letting lots of things irritate me right now  :-\ I blame exam stress and just general crap
