First of all I am not "gender variant." I am a woman with a transsexual medical condition. Second, my  If that were to happen, workplaces would be required to give time off for SRS,

I can't speak for everyone but I am currently on medical leave for my SRS. My job is "protected" under the medical leave act and I am collecting short term disability. I have other friends that have transistioned and collected STD. I was told by my employer they would only cover it if it was covered in the IRS tax code. That code change came to be in Feb of 2010 when the supreme court ruled on a lawsuit stating SRS was tax deductible because it it considered medically because it is considered medically necessary and recommended treatment for gender dysphoria.

She doesn't do the outdated "two-stage" technique.  You only need to go once just like you would for Suporn.  So no, the $4300 does not count.

Thanks for pointing this out... I didn't know that. It is interesting information for all the girls that are comparing the different surgeons. I've also found more info on the subject "One or Two stage?" from Dr. McGinn herself:
