Hi guys!

As some of you know i'm a SO of TaylorMade. I do not have much info on FTM as i'd like and I want to be able to help Tay anyway I can. So I figured I'd ask some questions here please forgive me if these are questions you've had before ^_^

For now Tay is living in the states. I live in canada where alot of things are coverd...so i'll ask for the states portion. Whats the cost of T? Injection I mean.

Is the process to get top surugry a hard process to start and whats involved in starting that?

On T how long does it take on average of course to start seeing changes?

Where to being on the STP ...like where to buy, what to start out with...

Wheres the best place to find a gender therapist...

Okay thats it...for now..*Grins*

I haven't started taking T yet so I don't know how much it costs. I have an appointment with my endocrinologist this week and it's going to be at least $275, I'm not sure if that includes blood tests etc or whatever else. To get top surgery, he'll need a letter of recommendation from his therapist (if he's going to a decent endocrinologist, he'll need a letter of recommendation before he can start taking T, as well). Any other requirements for top surgery really depend on the surgeon he chooses. Changes from T... it mostly depends on genetics. From what I've heard on here, though, it can take anywhere from a few weeks, to about two months, until he'll see changes. If you go to www.therapists.psychologytoday.com you can find therapists, some of them even do long-distance sessions (through Skype, etc.) if he doesn't find someone in his area.

I pay about $60 for a 5 month supply. I've been charged double that by walgreens so pharmacy choice is important.

Like KAT said, where you get the T can make a difference.  If I get it at the hospital pharmacy, it runs $87.00 a bottle.

The top surgery depends on the surgeon.  It varies in regards to needing recommendations or not and I don't know if any require a person to be on hormones or not.  I am still looking into a surgeon myself, but I am already on T so that is not an issue for me.

As for therapist, I just used google to get trans community resources for my local area.  STP you can find by google also.  I can't recommend one since i don't use one, but I have seen them on multiple sites.
