Greetings and Merry Meet! I've been lurking on Susan's for a while, and decided that since I'm one of the girls my voice should be heard as well.

Anyhow, To start, I'm a 20 year old TS that is very early in transition. I live part time as a female, but have begun HRT. I like to cook, write, dance, travel, etc etc etc. I have not come out to my family as transexual yet. However, I came out to them a few years ago as Gay/bisexual. That said, I am very active in the GLBT communities and have found alot of support. My area (harrisburg, PA) has quite a few of us. I have a 46 year old "pseudo-transmother" lol. So, i have alot of support, which helps immensly.

I look forward to sharing the tears, the success, and everything else in between.

Merry Meet!

Well Meet yourself Kelly,

Welcome to Susan's. If you've been lurking around I guess you know the usual stuff like site rules and WIKI. So, fix yourself a cup of tea, or other relaxing beverage, sit down, take your shoes off and set a spell.

Very interesting. Is this person like your mentor or something? From your greeting, are you into Medieval recreation like SCA or something?

Good Journey,

Cassie

LOL....Yes. Jacki is a very close friend and mentor of mine. She's been patient with me over the past year as I wavered back and forth. She's truly inspirational.

And yes...I am into Medeival-type stuff. We have the Rennassance Faire here in PA that I participate with.

And Merry Meet is commonly a Wiccan term.

Nice to meet ya Cassie!

Hi again Kelly,

Georgia has a Renaissance Faire as well. I was a member of the Society for Creative Anachronisms (SCA) which is a medieval culture society. They get together for various events. There are several kingdoms in the US along with a multitude of baronies and shires. One becomes King by doing battle. There are numerous melees but only the greatest warrior can become King. The title must be defended every 6 months.

You pick a persona and become that person. One becomes Queen by catching the eye of a soon to be King. And just to make it fair the Queen must be from the same era as the king. Medieval stretches from Roman times up to the 1600's. I never cared for the fighting part so I took on the role of a Sorcerer. Maybe I should take it up again. Now I would have a female persona. Who knows maybe I could become Queen. Fortunately the Queen does not have to have relations with the King that would be a definite sticking point for me. lol

...mmmmm Queen Alexandria? Has a nice ring to it.  ;D

Hi Kelly,

That medieval stuff sounds great. Forget the swords and suff those long dresses with the lace bodices, I love those. My trouble would be finding someone strong enough to pull my laces tight :D.

Welcome to Susans Kelly nice to have you on board.
