So I bought it, despite the very bad Lola Jake reviews, I think my desire for a realistic penis and excitement of what it should of been able to do took over, logic went flying out of the window!
Ok so heres my review. I am not sure I SHOULD have bought it. I WOULD NOT recommend Lola Jake to anyone, I think they (Koi Concepts llc) are a BAD company with no integrity to be honest . Mostly because of their Customer Care and the fact they throw away all consumer rights in their
Terms and Conditions. To be honest I think they are exploiting FTM's desperation/insecurities.. by seeming to offer almost everything an ftm wants (except for ejaculating sperm from the penis, the prosthesis/enhancements are advertised to do almost everything else, not true) ...AND so getting away with being a terrible company. On top of that also painting themselves as super cool and informed company with their fancy good looking website, cute videos, twitter account and special offers. its seductive, it almost looks like they are a group of trans people themselves how they make themselves look, but actually they are a large prosthetic company that deals mainly in penile extensions for men (check out
9114men.com). They have no decent consumer policies, no returns policy, they could send you a penis that looks like a Halloween mask and you couldn't say crap about it (well not exactly.. but if you open the plastic bag it comes in then you can't do jack about it, which you need to do to get a decent look and feel of it).
Ok so now I've got the rant about the company out of my system, I'll talk about the product. The product initially looked really good, then after one single "play" session with my GF that day, using the recommended water based lubricant, the skin came off.. no kidding.. the silicone skin literally started to peal off in strips (which can't be vagina friendly for the GF partner or for the FTM genitals, as small particles can have bad effects). Also when I tried to adhere it to my skin it didn't work, it just came off instantly, even though I spent a fortune on the specialist adhesive they recommend.
SIZE: is kind of big, but I like it, I would be happy with that size of package IF it were more realistic.. IF it adhered to the skin properly and if everything else was good... but right now if I pack with it you can see the thick silicone "tab" leaning forward.. so its very obviously not a penis.. also the shaft when without the flexy rod, is like a flat hose pipe.. imagine some rolled up ham then bend in the middle, thats the effect... which is also fairly obvious through trousers.
COLOR: is actually really good, but that is because I ordered the caramel color.. even though I am a fairly pale Irish Caucasian person, the vanilla is SUPER PALE, it glows like a milk bottle (I've seen photos).. unless you look like a white porcelain doll, Dracula or white frozen corpse, don't get vanilla!
I have also heard very bad stories about people who ordered that have been Native American, Latino, Asian or Mixed parentage.. because there "inbetween" colors (which you pay extra for) tend to be really BAD, like orange colored.. the shades are often lighter than anticipated (for example Caramel you would think would suit a light brown skin tone rather than Irish caucasian skin tone, and Coco would be dark when actually coco is probably still too light for many people with brown skin tones from LJ).. also I think their coco color is slightly orange.. when not many people have orange-brown skin. They do not match your personal skin tones even if you pay extra.
Weight: It is heavy, I wish it were less heavy, but I suppose this does make it a bit better for love making, not so good for packing.
So my advice to anyone shopping for prosthetic is THIS....
1) ALWAYS READ THE
TERMS AND CONDITIONS, its the legal jargon bit, but try and make sense of it because it matters.
2) Don't just look at the price tag.. think about all additional costs and add it all up to a total.. Postage, plus Adhesive, plus Tape Kit (which u WILL need), plus any customizations, plus take into account the very bad and wrong exchange rate Pay Pal give you if your an international customer. Add ALL this up and then see what the different prosthetics give you in terms of returns policies etc.
3) Don't run away with the fantasy! the reality is NOT as good
4) Think about the Logistics... more about this below.
LOGISTICSWhat is the point in a prosthetic, think about what you want.
For example...
- Does it matter if it is realistic in color and function if you are just using it as a packer and it stays in the underwear? Why not just buy a Mr limpy or some other kind of cheap packer instead?.. and if it coz you want the packer to adhere to the skin for convenience, you can still buy the adhesive and probably have as much success gluing it to yourself as a real prosthetic.. it will save you a lot of money and will pretty much have the same effect.
- But You want to Pack an Play right.. Weeell.. that is fair enough this is why I bought mine.. BUT the problem is a penis you buy for "love making" is probably going to be too heavy and big for packing.. because a biological mans penis grows and becomes hard when about to have intercourse.. unless you are satisfied with having a small penis for intercourse, it will probably be too big for packing...if you usually like making love with a larger "instrument", this may not be satisfactory for you. ALSO another major point, the flexi Rod you sometimes get with prosthetics make the penis kind of *hard*.. even when bent into a packable shape.. SO it is not so comfortable for packing... so really you are likely carry around the rod in your pocket when you intend to make love and then have to slot it in.. using lubricant.. you will also have to carry around lubricant for the sex itself, and possibly a condom to keep the skin from flaking off.. so think about it.. if you have to do all that, isn't it just the same as changing over to a different "phallous" (dildo or penis prosthetic?) for the purpose of intercourse?
- But I want a stand to pee.. this is the BEST reason to buy a prosthetic, because it is good to have something realistic when it is being shown in public, BUT most prosthetic have fairly bad adaptations for this, (read the reviews), some don't even have that capability, and it often cost a lot more. Try modify a cheap packer.. I doubt anyone will notice, or just make sure your prosthetic STP is going to work before you buy, or that you can take it back if it doesn't.
Ok thats all I want to say on the matter. I DO intend to enjoy my prosthetic, because I cannot take it back.. but I wish I had got something else or saved my money. Altogether it cost me 550 Dollars. Thats a LOT of money!
