Hi people,

I'm a web developer and a story writer. I've been reading these forums for a long while. One thing I noticed is that everyone is nice, too nice. You are so good, many of you are not even honest in your opinions. To encourage the other? the make him/her feel better? That's not good!  So, stop being so silly nice!!

Then you haven't looked at enough threads, because I've only been here a short time and I've seen some nasty arguments and debates going 'round, but being the smart, cautious girl I am, I stay away from joining in on that stuff, too much drama for me. But I'm also not one of the overly nice ones either, I'm not into cuddle words (nope, not at all), hugs (err, wait a minute, I think I just asked for a hug in a topic not too long ago) or other ways of glaming things up to make one feel better about themselves (I think I did this a few times, but you won't get this all the time, and you may not at all, unless you really need it or really deserve it, then maybe I'll consider). Welcome. Yes, that's it, just a very simple straight forward one word, welcome.

There's drama everywhere, and always will be; on this forum and on other's.

The only real problems arise when people decide to argue about a point that neither one of them can carefully validate, or are just too stubborn to admit defeat (this includes simply getting defensive and instead falling back on insults before the valid points are even made). More people, in general, just need to learn how to "agree to disagree" and move on.

Even when opinions go haywire, for what ever reason, Susan's actually is far nicer and caring than other places; it's still apparent that not everyone wants in on the problems.

You also need to remember that a lot of people here (as is obvious) have some personal struggles, and are therefore rather snappy; through irritability. Can't change the fundamentals of human nature.

I'm a dev also, but I use C#, C/C++, Assembly; albeit still in university.

Aw hon, you're all wrong about us (hope this isn't offensive). In fact, I have to disagree with everything you said (please don't be mad). You'll find us to actually be quite unpleasant (I hope I haven't hurt your feelings). Welcome to Susans, hugs, Tracey

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone  and yes, not everyone is nice all the time, but I was speaking in general.

I forgot to introduce myself, I'm 24 years old. Hope to be fully transitioned by 26. No hormones or anything like that yet. I'm not going to say whether I'm FTM or MTF, not yet anyway as have few questions, and don't want them to be in anyway sugar coated to spare my feelings.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

Actually we are nice, even tekla.  And it is nice to have you with us, glaze.  Kick off your heels/sneakers ask any question you might have.
