The star of Eat the Rich, The Comic Strip Presents and The Supergrass had a number one hit with Pistol In My Pocket in 1986, and is currently a regular contributor to Jo Good's BBC London radio show.

Born male, the entertainer later took female hormone pills, and now does not believe in gender. He spoke to Janelle Oswald about growing up in the 60s and his journey in showbiz, and being transgender.
