I used to pop acai extract as well, and it worked for me!  :o) Now I don't. 100 g/ acai = ~850 mg of K

Put the brakes on that right there. I haven't gained any weight yet either, which is weird.
That's one effect of the Spiro in some.  Diuretic, remember?

You cannot monitor your potassium levels by checking your blood pressure.  Only by running a blood test can one properly check potassium level.

Didn't read what I said, did you? I said when you heart rate drops. The more potassium in your system, the slower your heart beats. You know you've had way too much when you heart stops and you die.

LOL, even so, you STILL can't measure your potassium levels by looking at your heart rate!  Potassium and your heart just don't quite work that cause and effect.

Your heart rate will drop and will go into palpatations if your potassium is low as well.  So will your blood pressure as with the high end of the potassium reading.  Your potassium level is critical.  Also other factors can cause a drop in the heart rate.  A blood test is the only way to tell!

HitOrMiss.

Beating the same drum here, but I was concerned about this so I asked my Dr a while back. I drink at least 2 cups of OJ a day (with added calcium and vit D) because I don't drink milk. However, my Dr. assured me that my kidney's would easily be able to take care of this.

However, just to be safe I get my levels measured every time I get a blood test. So far so good.

You won't need to stop eating bananas.  This is what we have been trying to say this whole time.

Well my Endo never said anything about potassium intake.  Nor did my GP doc.
