What are some ways how girls are socialized? Sometimes I have behaviors that I thought were noble for all genders, like patience, but then I slowly came to realize that what was encouraged for girls were not encouraged for boys, and that guys were actually encouraged to heed no patience to people who can't give them what they want, and go pursue and compete, while I was regularly told throughout my life to look out for others if I want to succeed and walk in the shoes of others. Now, I am like "wow this ->-bleeped-<- I am doing whatever the I want" and I felt more success and got what I want so far. No wonder girls succeed less in my school. Because everyone tells them to do the wrong things at the wrong time.

I want a list of things that girls (unconciously and subconciously) are told to do compared to guys. Like, passive aggressiveness? Encouraged to get help?

Don't tell me that "gender roles and stereotypes don't matter so don't pay attention to them" BECAUSE THEY DO MATTER TO THE LARGE EXTENT. Isn't that why transpeople exist in the first place? And if gender roles didn't matter, why do you transition at all? To be perceived as the right sex, of course. If it didn't matter, why are we even trying to pass? Sure, we don't have to be 100% man-acting or 100% woman-acting, because not even cisgender people are 100% anything, but gender roles are what defines gender. Isn't that why transmen try to dress in stereotypical man clothes even though "gender stereotypes don't matter"? Why don't transwomen just continue dressing as guys and then go "I am a woman so treat me like one even though I dress like a man and live like a man". As I said, of course gender roles do matter to a large extent if we want to be taken seriously by ourselves and others.

If people want to answer they can do so in the original thread, which could probably also be moved out of just for us if you wanted us to do it, as no one seems to have posted anything which needs restricted access.

If you want a thread moved then please post a request in thread or use the report button to request the move and we will then consider the action and carry it out providing there are no objections.

Thank you for your cooperation. I am now locking this thread as it is a duplicate and therefore in violation of TOS.  :police:
