The attorney probably would defend you if you did as you mention. He would probably say how sweet and wonderful you were, and that your "unreasonable fear" because of your being trans should excuse you from wasting the twerps to the public about you, until a jury had convicted you of a crime, and maybe for the appeal period of your case, but would then sterilize the hand that shook yours, or even think about cutting it off. What his private thoughts are about you before or during the trial would get him disbarred if they were known, but the legal ethics will keep him quiet until after you are beyond being able to sue him. Its a terrible job, but every once in a great while, they are right and someone does get only the justice they deserve, and no more.
I do however hope that he loses her case, and leaves town wearing tar and chicken feathers instead of a business suit, but hey its business.
