I had a sore throat the other day and tried some Traditional Medicinals Organic Throat Coat tea, and noticed that it contains a warning that says "Cautions: Consult a health care provider before taking if you have diabetes or hypokalemia, or if you are taking any kind of hormonal therapies, diuretics, potassium depleting agents, MAO inhibitors. Consult a health care provider if symptoms persist."  I'm not on HRT, but I am curious as to what impact this tea would have on any of our hormone levels.

Any thoughts or insights?

From their web site: http://ca.traditionalmedicinals.com/nhp/product/102 :

Contraindications: Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use if you have impaired kidney or liver functions, high blood pressure or heart disease.

Thanks.  I also wonder about the warning about potassium depleting agents.  I'm not on HRT, but I understand that spiro increases potassium.  So what would the impact of a tea like this be on a spiro user?

I'm not on spiro or HRT - yet, but I want to do my homework first.  :)
