I'm not an expert on nutrition by any means, but I know a good amount about the effects of exercise, so I tend to focus on that rather than eating habits. To lose muscle is not complicated for a physically fit individual, running long distance (not around the block, 5-10 miles would be ideal) will significantly burn your muscle, as your body uses it for fuel. The key is to NOT intake lots of good foods, you want your body to be hungry. This way is a lot more painful than sitting on the couch eating nothing but ramen noodles, but that shouldn't be a surprise, seems like everything involved with transition is painful. After weeks/months of running 3-5 times a week, at least...you're well on your way to being a string-bean of skin and bones! Such a low fat content will not help a female figure, however, so perhaps being lazy is in order? That's the part I don't know much about, I lack a lot of fat myself :/
