When I first admitted that I may be transgender or transsexual I came to the internet looking for answers. I admit I was pretty ignorant at the time. I had some preconceived notions. For example, I believed crossdressers are just guys in dresses and do it only to "look pretty" and for fun. Didnt really see a difference between crossdressers and drag. For some that is the truth. Others I have talked with or seen on transgender sites are dealing with some other issues, like what they seem to describe as a milder form of GD. I learned all this rather quick. I also learned that I was not the only ignorant person out there. Quite a few in the transgender and transsexual community are quite ignorant, and not for lack of information as was the case with me. Is it because everyone wants to feel superior? People are labeled and ranked. And I simply don't understand it.

I never write these things expecting them to be reposted... its just my opinion on the matter lol.  If people do repost them thats great, but I started the thing as an outlet for myself to rant/diary my feelings since I am not seeing a GT or any therapist atm and no one knows how i feel in real life.  So yeah maybe I am wrong but this is how i see some ppl act and that night I was feeling especially annoyed about everything so I wrote out a blog...

But anyway-

I will also be directing most of my thoughts at the subgroup of transsexuals who feel this way since they seem to be the most vocal, or atleast are the most vocal that I have seen and have some of the dumbest arguments I have ever seen.... but I have seen transgender individuals act the same way and say some of the same things to other transgender individuals... That paragraph basically explains what i ment... which is that its only small community that I see act like this.  Everyone else they see as below them and makes them look like freaks to the public etc.  Most people in the TS/TG community are totally cool. 

And yes you are right, I do have a lack of self esteem issue (one of the many reasons I am not currently doing anything concerning my GD) and I am sure others do as well.  And sure maybe that plays some role in how I feel, but some ppl still do act that way.  Part of the reason i wrote it was because if I remember correctly (this was a few days ago and I was reading many blogs so I may be a bit off) I saw someone's blog about how susan's place is scaring away some of the transsexuals and allowing transgenders in therefore grouping everyone together... and she thought Transsexuals need their own space etc etc.  She may be right (about TS needing to be separate from TG and having different needs... not the whole susans thing as I am relatively new here and dont know of any drama myself) but If I remember right her connotation and the way she wrote it was rather degrading to others, along with other of her blogs as well as some of the blogs of people who followed her.  Like i said its a small, but vocal minority.

When I talk of self esteem, even though I am mentioning the writer, I mean us ALL really. We are all a work in progress.

Thanks =). And yeah I knew what you ment with the self esteem issue.  I was just applying what you said to what I felt and posted to see if it did derive just from a lack of self esteem.  I am sure those with lower self esteems allow such talk to bother then more, but there are people out there saying these type of things heh.
