I'm 18 years old and will be recieveing my t letter soon and as you can imagine I am extremely anxious. Its all I think aout 24/7 and its all I want to talk about to anyone. And I can tell its boring them :( I have no friends because I dropped out of school 2 years ago and have never had a job so I don't really go out into the world. But I would LOVE some trans friends around my age to talk to.  I've been to my local lgbt and they said they don't have any trans ppl there. I live in oklahoma so that dosnt suprise me. So I guess what I'm asking is where to I find transppl my age? I want friends so badly :(

That sucks there are no trans people there. But on the plus side you do got Susans. We've got a number of youth. I'm not technically a teen anymore (20).  But I've been through the same thing, dropped out, just ended my last existing friendship last year and since then have been a complete social reject. I understand wanting to have friends to physically talk to, I crave it, but I got social issues to deal with first.

I miss that feeling of wanting to start T, feels like so long ago for me, doesn't even feel real anymore. But hey have fun waiting, and I mean that in a positive way, I wish I could do it again just to feel that first love for T again, now it's just like an everyday normal relationship with a hormone that feels like I never started and it was always there.

Anyways, good luck with your goal to find some trans people. A lot of us are on facebook if that's your sort of thing, or msn. But if you're looking for physical people in your area, any places you could check out nearby to see if there are any trans people there?

I'm 19, technically a teenager, but I feel like ancient mildew. I had two jobs, finished high school, hopefully go to college soon as possible...

I have no friends either. I don't care either.

I'm 16 and FTM. If you want to talk to me, feel free. LOL

I don't know what advice to give on meeting transpeople your own age. The internet would be the best bet if you don't have any support groups in your area.

I'm 18 too, still miles away from starting t though as I only realised I was transgendered about a year ago and took a while to admit it to anyone. I live in England so I wouldn't be much good for meeting up but I'm willing to talk if you want.

I'm 17.  Still closeted apart from a few close friends.  But if you ever want to talk, message me and I'll send you my email or facebook account.  I'm online pretty much all day, sometimes until 2 in the morning, so I will probably be there to talk.

I just turned 19 and I'm ftm, so I'll add myself to the queue, but it's just not the same as having real life friends.  If you can't find any trans people in your town, perhaps you could check the next town over or something?  The largest major city near you might have a support group or something, though there's a good chance it'll be targeted towards older people, and possibly mtfs.  Good luck though.

I'm an 18 year old ftm from the UK,
I think my email is available under my photo so if you wanna chat, I'm there :)
Just out of interest, what is it that keeps you guys from socialising?
Is it an anxiety thing?
I have days where I'm very dysphoric and I'm always quite anxious around new people, but having said that, I have a really good circle of friends and have had a fantastic girlfriend for 4 years, along side a good relationship with my family, sounds like I'm lucky I guess,
just wondering what you guys feels keeps you back from living life and as any bio guy, or just anybody?
You all seem cool enough here, I don't see why any of you should struggle!

Hope your all well!

I don't know about other people, but I've always been shy around people I don't know, but with my friends, I'm really outgoing. It's almost like I've got 2 personalities haha

I get what you mean skakid, when I'm with friends, I'm all for messing around being 'a lad'.
But when I'm being served in a shop or something I'll keep my head down and try keep my mouth shut,
I guess it's a defence mechanism until I'm more comfortable with myself, but I've combatted that by making friends with people I can be comfortable around.
I just think it's a real shame if there are so many lovely people on this forum, who are too anxious to make the real friends they deserve and need you know? Transitioning isn't easy, and we're all gonna need a stable network behind us, I guess that's why this site is so good!
