GRS with BA and FFS?

Hi,
anyone care to comment on having BA (breast augmentation) done at same time as GRS? Or and FFS?

Seems it's not too unusual but being done in Thailand a long fight back to RSA added surgery seems a bit iffy?

Other situation, maybe even closer to my need (BA now done by everyone and his uncle) is adding FFS after GRS but at same 3 week stay-over.
More specific chin-contouring/reduction. I contemplate to have that done at the same time. Of course only after feeling OK with the relevant surgeon Dr. Rushapol at PIH.
Any one with experience care to comment?

To me, it seems like an awful lot of procedures all at once, which also means more time under anesthesia (and thus an increased risk of complications).  Of course, I am also not a personal fan of having that much distance between me and a surgeon in the event that there were complications of any sort...and that holds true no matter WHAT the surgery might be (I passed on an ortho referral one time because he was in another part of the State and so I stayed local and just did some rehab with a local physical therapist).   

I had a roommate in Montreal who had a nose job at the same time as the SRS, but everyone else there (myself included) just had the one basic procedure.  I did discuss the prospect of augmentation with Brassard but not as a concurrent procedure.  I wound up not having it done, although now ~15 years later and seeing how some prices have dropped, I have contemplated having it done locally (along with either a touch of lipo or a mini-tummy tuck).  Cannot comment on any other facial work since the only thing I ever thought about was a nose job (albeit for purely personal reasons, not for the reasons some contemplate facial surgeries in transitional phases).

I would never recommend having all three done at the same time.  It's just too much for any body to endure.  Sure, there are people who have done it.  I know one and she said it was brutal.

As for BA being done in conjunction with GRS or FFS, I know a lot of people who have gone that route.  From that I learned having BA with GRS means you won't be able to use your arms and upper body as much to help you with your mobility when your GRS recovery is impairing your mobility.  So it's a lot tougher to move about.

No matter how you look at it, two surgeries are tougher to recover from than one and GRS is MAJOR surgery.  FFS is mostly just painful. 

With what I know now I would recommend finding the best doctor for each type of surgery and have them done individually.  Affordability would be the only reason not to do so.  Time, inconvenience and all the other reasons one comes up with will all seem unimportant when you see the results skilled surgeons have on your physical transition.

of course MOBILITY such an important point after GRS! Well, in any case BA is no issue to have done later in SA. I'm still not sure about chin reduction yet. Seems not much experience with MtF is available in SA. Only Maxilo-facial-surgeons do it and mostly for deformities and accident repairs.
Don't have a good feel about the FFS side of it.
In Thailand it's a much different story and at least mobility be no issue. (So long I just shut-up my face :-)

Well... I am not an expert, but I think it's really up to you. If you do everything at once, you will save time and money. If you do them separately, it will take longer but will be easier to endure.

That being said, as you are over 60 years old, I believe you should ask a doctor about whether or not it is wise to combine those procedures. Perhaps it's actually very dangerous to do many procedures at once when your body has aged past a certain point. On the other hand, perhaps it's even worse to be operated thrice and being under anaesthesia and opened up thrice instead of once. Do ask a doctor.

should I be surprised you can take the pain after all LOL? What a trooper!
Interesting about looking in the mirror, never mind all the pain.
Self having had quadruple bypass was real stinker. Chest opened like chicken then wired up again and 3' scare along leg for spare-parts, more painful than chest (still some pain now after 12 month).

So, I know a bit about double whammy op pain --- had contemplated to do BA with heart op at the time. Thankfully didn't. Felt pretty wrecked as it was.

So conclusion --- yes, yes true!!! Nice get it all past, but then not even sure about cup size! Will I ever? Best guess 38B(+?) but do feel that having boobs stuck under chin is off-putting for aesthetics. Yes, sucker for aesthetics. Then have to look at swollen stuff between legs too boot? Ouch!
So, current thinking to do GRS (two stage job, 2 weeks clink) and doing chin-conturing during total of 3 week Phuket time.
Time will tell, not too sure yet about chin job but guess will bite the sour apple.

I had srs and rhinoplasty at the same time, same operation though the srs was one stage. I had no pain from my nose at all... just tightness when I opened my mouth wide to eat or contort my face from side to side. I know the surgeon I used is ok doing one area of the face at the same time as srs, either upper (forehead), middle (nose) or lower (chin/jaw). Or a BA at the same time. It's that two stage srs that makes it questionable me thinks, to go under anaesthesia three times in 3 weeks.. :/ unless he can do the chin at the same time as either stage one or stage two?

Thanks Muffin, I think one very valid point and for me to make sure about it.
It was my understanding that (most prob...) at first op., BA and/or chin be done as two surgeons be involved. BUT I BETTER MAKE SURE it is so.
Good to hear your own lesser (next to no) pain with face work.

Julie had a valid point about mobility being an issue after BA together with SRS. BA is well understood in SA and prices are the same. Currently around $3600 so there seems no need to do it OS.

FFS is a different as not so well practiced as in "feminization" but rather correction and Maxillofacial surgeons are more pricey in SA, the way I understand. Getting a quote will tell me if it is so.
