Hello all here,

I just wanted to say "hello" to everyone here.  Thought by way of introduction I might give a little bio and description.

I'm a divorce man, 51 years old.  I'm not transgendered myself but have always felt comfortable and at home around the third gender.  I've been married 3 times to a genetic woman and I'm beginning to believe it's not going to work out. (duh!).  What would be refreshing would be to find a transgendered woman around my age or so who would enjoy the friendship of a regular guy.

I've seen and even tried the "ts dating" sites but it's all about sex.  Sex is great, don't get me wrong, but I really want a friend.  Someone to spend a quiet afternoon with or go listen to jazz in Eureka or just spoil a little would be nice.

Ok, this is starting to sound like a personals ad, which it is not.  Not really sure what to write as an introduction, but I am looking forward to making some friends on here.

Hugs to all.

Thank you all so much for the nice welcome!  I feel surrounded by friends already.  I respond readily to sweetness and tenderness... and that's been missing for a while.  So, it was nice to feel a little coming my way.  Thanks ladies. :)

When I first found this board I actually stumbled across a discussion about dating.  Something someone said caught my interest.  She pointed out that she could not find the sense in "TS" dating sites.  She explained that a transgendered woman would probably most naturally just list herself as a woman on a regular dating site since that is who she really is, as opposed to a transvestite or crossdresser.

First of all, very interesting point, I thought.  But it also got me thinking... Ideally, that would be a wonderful way to meet a nice transgendered woman for someone like me.  But the catch is, I really would prefer the TS woman over a genetic woman.  So, knowing she is a TS is a plus.  I feel I can relate better as a friend, companion and even a lover to a TS woman than a genetic woman at this point.  Also, just as a point of beauty and attractiveness, I find the TS woman is actually superior to the genetic woman.  This presents a dilemma of sorts for a man like me.  I would love to find a TS woman who sees herself that way yet at the same time I would be scouring the site looking for clues or signs that would lead me to her and away from the genetic woman!  Is this making any sense?
