This day was perfect  8) 8)

Well I've been thinking to discuss about my cross-dressing with one of my friend.
She's the one who make-up me last year  ;)
We have shared already lot of our secrets for last 2 years.

Well today I send her a long e-mail and then had a chat session with her.
I'm so glad that I can't describe my feelings. She was also glad that I did have enough courage to tell her.
It has been a long path for me to find out who am I and these are my first steps to understand my feminine side.

The best thing was that she invited me to do some shopping with her.
She wanted to choose a new outfit for me  8) 8)

That will be the next step to go out and buy clothes. Well internet shops are good but I love shopping  ;)

Awesome Dweia!  That's just so great!  Have fun shopping tomorrow  ;D

When you judge others, you do not define them, you define yourself.

Dweia,
That sounds so neat. It is great that you have a female friend that you can confide in and who wants to help you. It sounds like so much fun! Enjoy your day!
I know a lady that used to own the Merle Norman cosmetic store in town. She gave me a makeover once. We would talk a lot about girly things. Unfortunately she and MN had a parting. Her store is still there and she was going to open with a different makeup line but I have not seen her in quite a while. I miss our talks. Maybe things just take time.
Have a good day

Dweia,

How great it is to have a friend who knows all about you and loves you as you are.  Your shopping trip sounds like a dream come true!  I must admit to a little bit of envy, but I'm so happy for you.  Be sure and tell us how it goes.  We girls like all the details.

Peace,
Kristi

Well I like to go shopping with her, but there is only one thing.. She lives almost 400 km away and she has 2 kids.
So we need to do some planning before we can go out shopping.

But the best thing is that she lives in Helsinki so there will be a lot of good place to go  8) 8)

Todays little step : I shave my legs  :P :P
Wow...wow... the legs feels so good with stockings   ;)

Well I think I've received such amount of self confidence from just accepting who am I..

Yesterday I was shopping.... I walked in to a big shop and just picked up things
what I like... Then I just went to dressing room to try them out.
And I bought that miniskirt in picture and a pair of quite tight bootcut jeans  8) 8)

Today... I went to town again... I need to buy a new computer  ::) ::)
Anyway... I did wear my new jeans and my finger nails was also polished..

This happened when I was shopping today...

1) I went to 3 different computer store.
Full of men and just few of them noticed my jeans... And I could read from their eyes "Too tight jeans" for a man.
Nothing special.. Nobody noticed my nails.

2) I went to 2 different shoe shop. I wanted to try out women winter shoes.
In first the older lady didn't know how to deal the thing that I'm looking women shoes.
So I did a fast round and left that shop.

In the second one.. The lady was quite helpful. Ask what I want and I told her that I
would like to have women boots. She was quite helpful.. I tested shoes and we talked about 20 mins
and I think I will go back and buy shoes from her.

Perhaps I need to go to first shop also and just tell the lady that I want the boots for me.. Not to my girlfried or wife.

3)  Also I went to buy some food... That's was quite interesting..
When I was paying the about 20 year old cashier noticed my finger nails.
She was quite surprised for just a second or so, but I received a long warm smile from her.

Fantastic Dweia!

It is great that you are going out in public wearing jeans and with your nails painted.  Were you scared?  I know I was (and still am a little) when I began a couple of months ago...still haven't been out much  with "very noticable" nail colors (darker, like red) or darker lipstick, but it is getting easier.  Maybe soon I'll wear my favorite skirt to the store...tried a couple of times, but couldn't get myself out of the car.

It is amazing the different reactions you get from people.  Most don't even notice (you could wear a pink tutu, with ruffles, and have 6-inch blazing red fingernails and they still wouldn't see you).  About 25% may notice and, not knowing what to do, act like nothing is unusual...I wonder what they say later, but I don't really care.  Only a few will actually make a comment to you, and most of those have been accepting.  Anyway, that is my experience so far (limited though it is).  From what you said, it looks like you have had similar reactions...true?

What kind of reactions have other people had?  I'm just curious.  Is it different in small towns vs. larger cities?

Have fun shopping with your friend and I like the miniskirt too.

Ya put your right foot in.  You put your right foot out.  You put your right foot in and you shake it all about.  You do the Andro-gyney and you turn yourself around.  That's what it's all about.

Yes I was scared... Totally scared, because I live in quite small town about 50000 people and all shops are in quite small area.  I think that I can deal the people I don't know.. I don't care what they think or say afterwards. What I hope is that they think and talk this issue with other people.

My main concern is that I might meet my co-workers. I work in a huge multinational company and we have about 3000 workers here. So it might be the case that tomorrow in our local canteen might be people who saw me in the city.

I would like to wear skirt also, but winter is coming so it's much easier to wear jeans. I choose jeans because I can't even tell which models are for female and which are not.

As you have seen the reactions to you can be quite mixed. I would not worry about any dirty looks or anything like that. People that want to do that are jerks anyway.

Yes.. I know.. I've seen those drunk jerks way too many when I was a Dj  ::) ::)
I think it will take many years for me to go to club and dance as female...
At least there are not so many transgender friendly clubs in Finland.

wow that s great .  girl power kudos to you for going out  in your jeans and polish.

The area where I live is way too conservative. Old ladies might keel over at the sight of me buying girly stuff.  :o
So when I buy cloths and makeup. Mostly I still do mail order. but when i get the courage. I go into the store with a plan B. aka something else to buy. If the coast is clear when I go in and the cashier is a younger women (which I may wrongly assume means she is a bit more open minded) then I'll buy my girly stuff. She usually smiles at me. hey :-) If the store is full of old people, then I got get some TP or some thing I can always use, buy it and walk out disappointed , but what ever.

Go for it. that is great your friend is so open.

I was helping my GF unpack over the holiday. The one skirt was cute. I told her this. Then she made a snide comment to me that it was hers and not to ever borrow it (not exact words, but the point). Which sort of hurt since I told her many times that I would never do that. Uggh...

Hi Dweia,

Sounds like you've been having a lot of fun!  I'll have to agree with Susans-49 that it must be really nice to have a GG to confide in, and one that can help you out, 'cos as I'm sure that you're finding out, there are certain things that only woman know  :o  I've worn  my feminine tight jeans out a lot, and not many people take notice, but it must take a lot of courage to polish your nails and go out while still in your male persona. I've actually done that once, and I received some strange looks from people.

I often wear women's jeans and an androgynous top on the weekends while in guy mode.  I have never noticed getting any looks--the jeans are not ultra feminine and I wear a beard, so my presentation is pretty much all male.  I have occasionally worn clear nail polish while in male mode.

Dweia

Well about the nail polish....
So far I've worn clear nail polish for whole January and while male mode
and even wore the female jeans at the office.... But those jeans are quite androgynous  ;)

Funny thing.. One night my ex girlfriend was here.. I helped her to move some mp3's from computer to her new cellular phone.. We were sitting quite close to each other and she didn't even notice the nail polish   ::) ::)

That's so wonderful, Dweia! It gets better every time you do it. It's wonderful to have one person who enjoys your individuality, also. Congrats to you.

confiding in GGs is definately a great thing.  I remember telling a GG friend.  She was so receptive and helpful.  What a weight off the shoulders to confinde with someone that's somewhat close with you.
