What is your most painful area to wax?

Before I had any waxing done, I checked out videos on YouTube....I always thought it'd be my Brazilian area.

But when I actually got it done, my "B" area didn't even get a flinch...neither did my legs or forearms...upper back and upper arms were kinda sharp, and the abdominal sides were "grit my teeth" painful...

My chest was AWFUL! The tech could only pull 2-3 times before giving me time to reduce my internal "pain-O-meter" to safe levels...

But, even though the chest was awful, it was NOTHING compared to the belly! The whole thing was borderline excrutiating, but the worst was in the center, just below the ribline, and just below the belly button....OMG OMG tech could only do one pull before I hit redline-pain levels...

This is not to say I'm a wuss or anything....I didn't cry or scream...in fact, for some REALLY ODD reason, such pain levels make me start to giggle, but beg for her to stop stop stop already.... :-X

*whew* panting heavily now...

BTW, I've gone back for 2 more complete sessions (except "B", that's being lasered)...so the pain isn't keeping me hairy. (After this round of laser, I intend to get my chest and belly done also...No need to keep getting monthly doses of pain just because I'm cheap)

So I'm just curious now, what is everyone's least favorite area to get waxed, lasered, etc?

Chest is definitely, followed by the belly.  I shave the bikini area, but I have seen a Brazilian done and I was like :icon_yikes: No Thanks.

The lip for waxing, I wax my face roughly every 14 - 21 days and the lip is always the worst, there is probably only about ten hairs that are actually left after several years of waxing but it still hurts and brings a tear to my eye :o. Next would have to be nose hairs :o

I would rather pluck individual hair than wax my face

*Dreams of getting laser and/or electro*

Waxed my bikini area and legs per usual but forgot to prep the bikini area first  :P  I new it was going to hurt allot more than usual when I pulled the wax off this time...
But oh my goodness!!! That is some pain  :o

*Note to self* - Be darn sure to prep the area to be waxed  :P

Had my back waxed yesterday, wonderful.
The girl who did told me she had a XXX laser the previous week and it was agony, and then her boyfriend was all frisky and wanted her. Which was a double Ouch

Oh well What we do for appearance

Lip Waxing! :o Nose Hairs!! :o :o is all I can say! Chest was bad enough, gave up on the idea after trying the stomach.
HRT has thinned it out, but will stick to shaving for now. Legs get the epilator, call me a sooky lala but I won't use it anywhere else either.

Plucking individual facial hairs takes a while, that's why I wax, at least until I can afford IPL / SPL ( intense Pulse Light ). I use a special XXX wax that is called Caron Brilliance and it has the same texture as Plasticine and it's Australian made.

Strange, but I also like it. :o  In fact, I've promised myself that, once I get a job, I'm going to get a massage and a leg wax.  Maybe even arms/hands too.  I've never had it done before and so I've been monitoring this thread closely to get everyone's opinions on the pain factor.

After reading this, you all make me super glad that I never had a single chest/back/shoulder hair! ;D  Sorry, but it's true...

You're a lucky girl Zoe.

I'm going to have to give waxing a try.  Don't you have to let the hairs grow pretty long to wax?

I Don't think I could wax my face.  I have like 2 or 3 hairs at the bottom of my nose - top of my lip, that I pluck cause I can't get my razor in close enough.  They hurt like crazy even though I've pulled them out hundreds of times.  If the whole face is like that I don't know how you could do it.

No, my tech can do hairs 1/16th inch (1.5mm) or longer...but, if they're "too" long, they want them trimmed to under 3/4" (18mm).

Everyone's pain tolerance is different...what is "excrutiating" to some, is "tickles" to others.

Tips, if I haven't posted them before:

Do NOT consume any caffeine products prior to the waxing. No pop/soda, no tea, no coffee.

Take 2 anti-inflammatories (ie, aspirin etc) 1/2 hour prior to the session.

Don't use any deoderarnt if doing underarms...don't use any similar foo-foo stuff on other areas.

Take a cold shower afterwards to close the pores (should help keeping dirt etc out, minimizing pimples afterwards)

Expect your body to need a day or two to absorb any red spots/rashes.

I've found that I'm hair-free for about two weeks, have very short (almost invisible) hairs for the next two weeks, then they start getting longer + more visible for the last 2 weeks...at that point I schedule another appt.
