The police had registered many cases of men dressed as women, as well as women dressed in men's clothing, he said, without giving numbers.

"Any man who wears women's clothes and imitates women will be penalised as per the UAE laws,'' Tamim said, adding that the same applied to women "dressing up as men and imitating male behaviour''.

I can't think of any decent answer to this except that all of us here are here for a reason... WHY are they so awkward?

I'm surprised at how many details are NOT in this article.  How can reporters fan the blaze, fire the furnace, and not provide a few needed details?  It used to be reporters would report the news. Now they feed the entertainment business.

From Cindi:
QuoteIt used to be reporters would report the news. Now they feed the entertainment business.

That is so true Cindi.  The obvious example is the diaper-wearing astronaut with the booking photo that makes Nick Nolte look well groomed, allegedly trying to whack a romantic rival.  Six Hollywood writers could not have come up with that plot.  I mean, it obviously has some news value, but my God, 24/7 for two days, and a shelf life of maybe several more.  It's so sad.  Look what she has done to her family, her associates and herself.  What people wont do to completely disassemble themselves as messily as they can.

As for the U.A.E. story, it is not in the least surprising to hear of another one of their religion-based witch hunts.  Please remember, that type of mentality and morality lies just below the surface, and sometimes on top, in the U.S.A.
