Not surprisingly, my children have inherited my "fashion-forward" tendencies. Especially my 5-year-old son who -- from almost as soon as he could do more than smile, cry and throw up to express himself -- has demonstrated a decided preference for the color pink. Thanks to his older sister's hand-me-downs, his wardrobe includes pink shirts, pants, shoes, sunglasses -- you name it, he's got it in pink, in spades.

Mostly, I don't question his attire choices. Frankly, I'm usually too concerned about forgetting to change him out of his pajamas before leaving the house, or arriving at preschool only to discover that he isn't wearing any pants, to worry about petty details like what color his missing pants are.
