I thought it would be fun to try to think of a song that expresses how we all feel

If there was a Transgendered theme song either MtF or FtM what do you think it would be....

My choice is Reflections by Christina Aguliera

When I was in the beginnings of transition, it was I am Woman by Helen Reddy.  Now it is more along the lines of ...
Redneck Woman by Gretchen Wilson.

Tilt & Maria Nayler-Angry Skies

There is a price to pay
For the mistakes you make
To discover what you do
It will always come back to you
I couldn't see it before
Hiding behind closed doors
When you step outside yourself
You wear the face of someone else

Breaking your fall from grace
Killing this empty space
Like a thorn in your side
It puts a dent in your pride
No one believes you now
It caught up with you somehow
And when the wind blew out your flame
Your life would never be the same

In the moment of madness under your angry skies
You are not what you feel this is insanity
From the shadows that darken the depths of your angel eyes
No one, nothing is real this is insanity

Above all... remember: you are beautiful, you are valuable, and you have a shining spark of magnificence within you. Don't let anyone take that from you. Embrace who you are. <3

Nurse With Wound

This song pretty my theme for how I feel right now, though hopefully that'll change after transitioning.

Have a Nice Life - I Don't Love
I don't want to live like this, Lord
I don't want to live at all
I don't want to make this face anymore
but if I don't, that's all
I don't want to live like this anymore
I don't want to live at all
I don't want to make this face anymore
but if I don't, that's all
I don't love
I don't feel anything
I don't feel anything where this love should be
I don't want to feel this anymore
but if i don't, that's fake
I don't want to do this anymore
but there's nothing else to take
I don't love
I don't feel anything
I don't feel anything where this love should be

Scaring away, my ghosts.

An older topic I know, but I wanted to post this song in here. It always puts a smile on my face. :)

Oh, and the producer's five-year-old daughter sings at the very end. It's very cute! :D

Lyrics:

I'll give to you if you give to me
I always want to hear what's on your mind
And from the other side, can you still answer me
'Cause we'll crave to be understood...yeah

And what I want to say
And what I need to hear
And what I want to feel
Is in those arms

And I'll sing to you if you sing to me
Because I long to hear what's on your heart...yeah

Forget me
I'm tired and wasted
Hopeless and faded
Listless and jaded

Forget me
I'm tired of waiting
I'm still underrated
I'm hopeful but jaded

But just remember
This is a beautiful mistake
I really need you
As our silence starts to break

It's already a fire
Created in all the walls we reached
And I don't know what you want me to be
But I don't want to be perfect anymore

I'll share with you if you share with me
I always want to hear what's on your mind
And from the other side, can you still answer me?
Because I live to speak what's on my heart...yeah

Forget me
I'm tired and wasted
Listless and jaded
Hopeless and faded

Forget me
I'm tired of waiting
Still underrated
But I'm finally awake

Let us remember
Life's such a beautiful mistake
It's precious and fragile
Sometimes more than we can take

It's already a fire
Created in all things men create
And I don't know what you want from me
But I don't want to be perfect anymore

Let us remember
Life's such a beautiful mistake
It's precious and fragile
Sometimes more than we can take

It's stronger than fire
Created in all the walls we reach
Letting go of fault and blame
'Cause I don't want to be perfect anymore

Yeah, I don't want to be perfect anymore
And you don't have to be perfect anymore

But your love, your love, your love, your love
Is perfect just the same

For me, it's always been "Then She Appeared" by XTC, even though it's of course written from the perspective of someone infatuated with a girl. The lyrics are so vague and uber-poetic, that my brain always adapted them to mean, okay, I'm a girl now, I just appeared. I'm out. I'm female.

QuoteThen she appeared
Apple Venus on a half open shell
Then she appeared
The first photograph on Fox Talbots gel

I was a little frightened
Flying with my senses heightened
Cherubim cheered, then she appeared

Then she appeared
As the giggling crew of Marie Celeste
Then she appeared
Pale Atlantis rising out of the west

I was a little dazzled
Catherine wheeled and senses frazzled
Know it sounds weird, then she appeared

And the sun which formally shone
In the clearest summer sky
Suddenly just changed address
Now shines from her blue eyes

Then she appeared
Brittle shooting star that dropped in my lap
Then she appeared
Dressed in tricolor and phrygian cap

I was a little troubled
Hookah with my senses bubbled
All Edward leered, then she appeared

And the moon which formally shone
On the marbled midnight mile
Suddenly just packed its bags
Now shines from her bright smile

Then she appeared
Out of nowhere
Then she appeared
Out of nowhere

Then she appeared
Out of nowhere
Then she appeared
Out of nowhere

Im still here, is my trandition song of being ftm

this one is called "mexico is in spain" and it seam as alot of yapping but I feel the meaning behind is it to say things arnt as they seam to be.
translation -> "if you follow me, I will show your your way, if you come with me I will show you how the world (really) is"

I just feel it pretty much decribe life in general of people..
