Beauty / Re: Do you enjoy wearing ponyt...

I haven't worn any pigtails or braids yet, however I do wear ponytails just about everyday with big poofy satin scrunchies, and I have them up at the top of my head for that feminine look.  I've had a few people tell me that with the poofy satin scrunchies they make me look like a teenager or pre-teen girl.

The folks who designed the 'Colorful Colorado' signs have a sense of irony. Although the state is colorful, the signs definitely are not.

It can get hot in Colorado, but the low humidity really helps. Stock up on moisturizer.

No, I'd rather learn the greens by playing them.  There are lots of elevation changes and trees on the 18 hole course so just getting on the greens may be difficult.  It is easier said than done but ideally I'd like to put my ball on the flat sections of the fairway, not the rough or tilted parts of the fairway.

Quote from: Tills on Today at 08:47:05 AMBy the way, an interesting addendum to this.

The technician said she thought it would be worth my while having 1 or 2 sessions using her IPL this winter to shift some red pigmentation and quarterize veins. She said I'd really notice the difference with my overall complexion.

Why IPL? Because of the different spectrum at which it operates.

It needs to be in the winter because it really needs no suntan.

I hadn't heard this suggestion before about IPL.

Once you get to Ireland this becomes available year round.

Last night I told my mother I'm transgender. Friends, it went better than I could possibly have imagined.

My wife was there to support me, of course. I did my best to lead into it with, "You know how I've told you this and that..." and "Remember that I've always done/preferred these things..." She was very quiet and interested and said things along the lines of "I'm just glad you're happy." After about an hour, we asked her how she felt, and she said she loved me, she'll always love me, she's glad we're both happy, and she'll have a hard time learning a new name and pronouns after 61 years, but she'll try.

I told her I was sorry that this would have the impact on her life that it will (she lives in Texas), and she said that any impact on her life will be minor. She'll tell her friends and our extended family, and if any of them respond negatively "Well, piss on 'em." Then she asked if she could hug me.

My wife and were both in tears. Amazing.

More later. I need to go spend time with my mom.

As always, I thank you all for your support and your example.

Much love,
Pema

Congratulations, Lori. I've been waiting to hear how it went.

I hope the unloading goes smoothly and that your life in your new home is everything you hoped it could be.
