Introductions / Hello from Swwt luck
Last post by Sweet luck - Today at 01:16:38 PM
Hi, everyone! I'm glad to introduce myself here) My nickname is Sweet Luck, I'm transgender woman on the beginning stage. I'm from Azerbaijan a small post-soviet country in Caucasis region. I have been taking HRT for more than 2 months already and I'm so excited seeing my body and face changes little by little)) My height is 177sm and weight is 58kg, so I'm going to gain some pounds on HRT to get more feminine body. I'm doing yoga almost everyday, that helps me to be fit and getting relaxed 😌. I'm also found of cycling, hiking, rock climbing and all kinds of active tourism. For me the first priority of being here is to find close transgender friends from other countries and find some useful information regarding transition. Thanks everyone, I will be glad, if someone feedback me))

Just checking in to see how you did in your bicycle race? If I had to guess, I'd say you were sore from it all day yesterday and maybe you are still feeling it today. I hope it was a great Type 2 Fun activity and you are ready for more.

Watching out for that race report.

Hugs,

Hey!

I had hoped to post before... but I think the site was down.

I had a great day! The camaraderie among riders was stellar. I wound up texting new besties all day yesterday. Yes. Yes I finished. I had a good first 45 miles, then fought muscle cramps and hills for 40. My daughter met me at the finish and I crossed in under 8 hours. 84.4 miles. 6300 feet of climbing, I got it done.

I am meeting friends tonight. will post a longer trip report tonight or tomorrow night.

thanks for asking.

Intersex talk / Re: Klinefelter Syndrome
Last post by BlueJaye - Today at 12:56:49 PM
It's hard to say whether or not you have Klinefelter syndrome without a karyotype test to verify. There are plenty of cases of people with Klinefelter syndrome who don't exhibit most of the symptoms, and plenty of people with numerous of the typical symptoms who do not have the extra chromosome (XXY). If you really want to settle any doubts, ask your doctor to perform a karyotype test. Chances are that it won't be covered by insurance since it is not medically necessary, so be ready to shell out some money.

As was already stated, chromosomes and the abnormalities that can accompany them don't dictate who we are. I am not a woman because I have am X chromosome any more than I am a man because I have a Y chromosome.

But I will say this: there does seem to be a connection between gender identity not matching phenotypic sex and having unusual sexual development. I was recently interviewed by a journalist from Outsports, who also happens to be trans. As were conducting the interview, she was asking about the "permanent effects of male puberty" and all of the arguments in the sports world about that idea. I mentioned that as a kid I didn't have much endogenous testosterone, and that I was put on exogenous testosterone to try to "normalize" me at what should have been the onset of puberty. She was silent for a moment before telling me that she had also had an unusual puberty and didn't develop much for masculine features, and had heard similar stories from several other interviewees during her career covering trans related sports issues.

So, at least at an anecdotal level, it does seem like there could be a connection between gender identity and unusual sexual development.

No data was lost...
A fresh backup is being done now.

A hard drive had been removed and we had one that's been on the verge of failing for a while .
Susan needs to get the money to replace it soon.

We don't lose any data unless we lose more than 3

Well blow me down, just tried and back up! Not that I had much to post about, Debs throwing out her sofa so went and cut the leather (I say leather but its that reconstituted stuff) off to use on the Austin seats. If not its tote bags. Managed some jobs on the Austin when my back allowed, was okay today.
Have about 4 lettuce coming on in Debs garden, a good hand full of raspberries and the potatoes look okay. Called in to see the new sofa, pass the sunglasses. Its a strange strip fabric and a bit bright so when she said do you like it I said its different, not my taste TBH.
