Hi Jenn,
I guess I am a bit late with my comments, I guess life got in the way. I really admire how busy you are keeping yourself occupied with tons of activities and as an advocate for our community. Aside from work and all those other extra-curricular activities there can't be much left for meals and sleep!
I love your story of renaming that conference room at your workplace and you couldn't have picked anybody better than Lynne Conway, as her web site had a huge impression on me when I first read it with gaping mouth some 20 years ago. As a software engineer I also enjoyed reading some of her professional background stories as well.
I have been following your cycling endeavors with particular interest, since I am heavily involved in sports myself and I have a soft spot for folks trying to accomplish a personal goal in any sports discipline. I like how you are getting in shape for the race and wish you the very best for your race in a little over a week from now. Go Jenn! I hope you'll find it an enjoyable experience and will continue to exercise on your bicycle with your friends.
Hugs,
Heidemarie

If there are Naval oranges, why are there no Army oranges? Okay, okay, I get the bellybutton connection for the Naval oranges.

I ate a really big dill pickle. It was good.
One was enough though.

By the way? My wife and I were planning our weekend this evening, and then started talking a bit about plans for next week (meal planning, ballgames, etc etc) and she said "and we need to leave next Saturday open." I looked at her quizzically and she rolled her eyes and laughed at me.
Next Saturday is "hair" day! Not that I forgot, but I FORGOT, you know? I mean, I knew it was the 18th, but I guess I didn't realize the 18th was so soon. I do, by the way, understand how days are sequential and all that. I just... you know... have my moments.
Regardless, I am a bit amazed how fast that went. When I had to book six weeks out I thought it would be an eternity, and now it's literally here in a week. That is really cool.
Love,
Allie
P.S. So... since today is the 9th, tomorrow would be....? No Spoilers, I'll get it... I'll get it... 🤔🤔🤔🙄😂

Thanks, Chrissy.
The pain has subsided. I had to put Vaseline on my face and bandages on my arms to cover the blisters so I don't rub them against anything. It will be a couple of days then they dry up and start sloughing off. It's a necessary evil that I am willing to endure.
This winter, she will send me two topical creams that will be lots of fun. They work like a chemical peel and eat all the cancerous and pre-cancerous cells. They do it in the winter because your skin becomes super sensitive to sunlight. I can't even go near a window. So I suppose I will become a vampire for a week or so.
For now, I am focused on Voice Training and have my second appointment in the morning. Yay!
