Wow!  It has been a long time since I updated my blog.

Life is going well.  I love retirement.  I've been staying busy with a number of projects.

I haven't had any time alone since before Covid to put on my feminine clothing on. My wife doesn't want me to do it at the house, and being retired that's where I am a lot.  I don't really have anywhere else to go and put those clothes on.

I am thinking of getting rid of most of it.  A lot of it is out of style now anyway.

My coping strategy (which seems to be working reasonably well for me) is to accept and be comfortable knowing I am trans, to focus energy on doing things to help others and make the world a better place, and to try to be the person (in all the ways I can) that I was meant to be.

I also pray that God will make me the person God wants me to be.  If God wants me to transition, then perhaps that door will open for me. (As many of you know, at the moment that isn't possible for me).

I don't know how that will work for others, but if you cannot transition for whatever reason, it's worth a try.  Maybe a door will open for you.

Wishing all of you the best.

Rachel

@Jessica_K

I am sorry to hear you are having a rough time. Did something specific happen to cause you to worry? Or is it the stress is piling up to make you overthink your concerns? Your concerns are valid either way, but how you handle them may differ.

If it was a specific event, (someone commented, or you noticed something you let slip, etc.) then you can deal with that specific event. But if it is a general concern that when you are stressed you are less cautious, that can add more stress. Just relax. You got this.

Is there some way we can help? We are here for you.

Hugs!

Living stealth for so long, I know one mistake and I am blown so I am so careful. But recently I have been so stressed at work that I feel I am going to explode, I am worried I am letting my guard down.

I love songs with a story behind them.

In Blues Image's song Ride Captain Ride, many believe that the song is about Sir Francis Drake sailing along the West Coast. But that isn't the case.

Blues Image lead singer Mike Pinera wrote this with their keyboard player Skip Konte. Mike's wife Valerie said:

"Ride Captain is a story from his imagination. I know when he was in the studio recording that album, they needed another song and he wrote it on the spot. He came up with 73 from the keyboard having 73 keys. A lot of people say it relates to a few different stories."

The keyboard they used was a Rhodes electric piano, and this was an early use of the instrument on a popular song. In an interview, Skip Konte says he sat at the piano and started working on a song.

"73 men sailed up, From the San Francisco Bay..." The song basically wrote itself. It was their only hit. Mike Panera moved to Iron Butterfly and Skip Konte joined Three Dog Night.

Here is an oldie:

"It's the chance of a lifetime in a lifetime of chance" is a key thought from this song that was commissioned the night before a famous horse race.
