Would you use a Star Trek type transporter, if it is as reliable as shown on TV?

Quote from: Oldandcreaky on Yesterday at 04:41:23 PMI agree. It might invite second looks.

The only thing is? Growth comes the willingness to make yourself uncomfortable. And so while I do think we are going to go with the removable hair topper rather than the attached version to start... so that we still have the options, we know it will be important to, as often as possible, CHOSE uncomfortable.

So yeah, second looks are going to be part of that. But we'll be actively deciding to walk into them on a day-to-day basis, as opposed to having no choice about it. So it's a weird version of retaining some control, I suppose.

Hello Dee Dee

My name is Sarah B and I would like to formally, Welcome you to Susan's Place!

You mentioned in your post above the following;

Quote from: DDGCDTRANS on Yesterday at 05:29:53 PMHi, I am DeeDee short for Denise Donna a 73 yr passable Trans Fem, non-op, and I regularly use the women's locker room at a local YMCA. In Minnesota at most YMCA's and all YWCA's it is legal for me to use the women's locker rooms totally naked. I believe all YWCA's have this policy and do check with them in your area. I attend regular swim exercise classes at YMCA with communal showers and I shower and change fully naked with fully naked women, usually 20 in our classes. The all accept me, chat with me face to face naked, hug naked, laugh together, and totally accept me as the woman I am. Your life as Tgirl can be very rewarding if you are willing to research. I was scared at first, hello, but the Y desk lady escorted me to the locker room and introduced me and told them I was able to be naked with them. I did not want it to be shoved down their throats so I asked the women if they were comfortable with me being naked. I received an overwhelming YES and many hugs welcoming me. Please explore your options to make your life as a woman rewarding and make new friends. Thanks, DD

That is very interesting in what you have mentioned and I believe other members at Susan's would be interested in what the YMCA are doing and discuss with you in regards to your experience.

I see you are a returning member or you registered but never posted.  Here at Susan's there was a computer crash in which a couple of years of posts were lost.  So if you are wondering why, you have posted before and nothing is there that is the reason why those posts no longer exist.

Once you feel comfortable here, it would be appreciated if you add a little bit more about yourself in the Introductions Forum, of course.  I would appreciate it very much as, I'm always interested in learning something about new members.

In addition members of Susan's will more than likely will discuss problems or issues that are similar to yours as most members of Susan's have experienced these as well.

Please review the links at the end of this message, they include information which will help you navigate the site and use the available features. When you reach 15 posts, you will be able to send and reply to private messages and you will also be able to add an avatar to your profile, until then if you have any questions about the Susan's Place site and the Forums, please feel free to contact, the Forum Admin Danielle Northern Star Girl alaskandanielle@yahoo.com

Once again, Welcome to Susan's Place!

Quote from: Jenn104 on Yesterday at 07:21:56 AMFull disclosure-- I suggest Lynn Conway's name. I didn't get to decide. No worry.

You took the lead, that's what counts! Everybody else who contributed or made the decision followed you.

Quote from: Jenn104 on Yesterday at 07:21:56 AMBusy is good-- I read thru a lot of blogs early on. Most are sadly gone into the ether with the January reset. Regardless, I decided the people who seem the happiest don't wait for transition to happen, rather they jump in. I decided to jump. It worked.

That's why I love reading your's. You are determined to move forward and to make the best out of it and to build a new and better life and that attitude is something I admire. I just haven't gotten to that point yet and I am still trying to appease my wife...

Quote from: Jenn104 on Yesterday at 07:21:56 AMI'll let you know how the gran fondo nyc adventure turns out. I am scared witless of the uphills. I am maybe more scared by the downhills - 45 mph is not my thing and a technical descent at 20 mph is a stretch. I am novice group rider, so the start has me nerved up. Love the new shoes but still getting used to the new pedals and clips. Then again, I never thought I'd feel ready and I kind of do. Yes! lots of cycling to come.

Don't sweat the hills (well, literally, please sweat them!), it is one stroke (my term, not sure how cyclists refer to one push down on the pedal) at a time! To give you an analogy, in high altitude mountaineering you get slower the higher you climb. I typically notice that above 4,000m / 13,300ft I start moving like my grandma, like taking a 2 seconds pause between each step. However, after several hours I would still reach the summit, slow and steady wins the day. Same for your hills. And downhill, go at what speed feels comfortable and safe for you. I am sure you'll do fine!

Hugs,

Heidemarie

That's a very youthful picture of you, Lori Dee! You look like late 20's or early 30's!

I also like all the details of the rocks you show, especially the crystals.

Hugs,

Heidemarie
