After the chaos (albeit necessary, affirming, and a whole other bunch of positive but exhausting things..) of the last two Saturdays, very happy to have a quintessential Spring Saturday today!

Wife and I had to do work outside in advance of the pool opening next week. So we did our best to get some of the wet leaves off the cover (everything we don't get off will end up IN the pool when they open it, and I'll have to deal with it then)... plus we had to turn on the outside water for them, which means setting up the outside shower which is always an adventure (did we put that gizmo in the right way so "hot" is hot and "cold" is cold? Why are we so bad at that when it's a 50/50 chance by definition!)

And now we're getting ready to drive up to see the boy, who is taking his mom out (and I get to tag along) for an early Mother's Day lunch at this Cambodian restaurant he's been wanting us to try. There's a large Cambodian population in his district, and supposedly this place is the best, most authentic representation of Khmer food. He says it's great, we've never had it, so we are all for it!

Oh and the little nice thing - before we went outside to work, I was going to grab a baseball cap and my wife instead handed me one of her old hats, it's a salmon color hat from the Breakers resort. "Try this," she said. So I did.

Anyway, a nice Saturday (assuming, we like Cambodian food - which I'm sure we will!)

I was 62 and finally, my life began.

I think we all have those days.

I am happy for them, but then I wonder how long I must wait in line for my turn. I have to focus on what I have accomplished and what I am currently working on. That keeps my spirits up.

You have been a busy girl!

I'm busy working on the yard.  I'm taking out the invasive plants.
Lots of work but I now have the time to do that!  Plants die if they never have leaves.
Some just need a good whack with a shovel or Sawzall!
Which reminds to get my DeWalt out of the basement.

  Deck railing came in, now 2 days of rain forecast. It will have to wait. 
  Only 39 days till bottom surgery!! Whoohoo! So much I want to get done before then and starting to feel the crunch.
   Voice lessons are going well. Focusing a lot on voice strengthen and range exercises. Less breathiness, more emphasis on speaking each word more clearly projected out and not from the chest or throat. I'm working with a nice voice app which helps with the pitch and offers playback.

I've come to the conclusion that even if I have bottom surgery, but continue to hide it, I will only be more unhappy. I probably needed HRT to give me at least enough boobs so that I would have to come out. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. Sometimes I feel like I'm just going through the motions until my time is up. I truly envy those of you who have succeeded at fully transitioning, but to be honest, sometimes it just makes me feel sad about myself. Sorry for this. It's just one of those days!

For me 60! I had always considered I had time to transition at some point, latter.... 60 was an eye opener and I finally said, I just can't wait any longer if I wanted to enjoy what's left of my life. And I've never been happier!!!

Well so far so good, after a good nights sleep even my dodgy right eye is in focus. Sun is out with light cloud and I woke full of beans. How long that will last who knows ?
 Folk festival in town this weekend being a bank holiday Monday as well, not that I will be going .Not into Morris dancing or singing with a finger in my ear.
 Call from the docs the other day, you need to book a blood test for HRT levels. About time they checked ,letter from GIC motivated them with what to do. For the last 2 years no one has been doing it and I gave up checking.
