I've got a really odd body shape, all my fat goes directly to my gut. So I've got no hips, ass, or thighs. Just an odd, large-ish gut.
Due to that, it's near impossible for me to find mens pants that fit at all, letalone ones that fit the way I want them to. So, I've been wearing women's pants.
Since I'm kind of "boxy" shaped to begin with, it's worked so far, but now I'm curious. Are there certain fits/styles I should avoid? I've always liked bootcut and straight leg, so I figure that's fine, but I'm not sure beyond that.
I'm just so sick of wearing ugly, huge pants. I was paranoid about being girly for so long that I lived in massive cut off jeans and oversized hoodies, and now I've finally gotten to the point where IDGAF.
So, advice? Opinions? anyone else do this?

I tend to wear men's carpenter pants, so I can't say much about what fits to wear or not wear.
Probably a good idea to avoid 'skinny jeans', since those accentuate what little hip you might have.

I have the exact same problem ... I tend to wear carpenter pants as well. However, I have found a brand of wranglers that works for me to wear. It took many shopping trips with my wife (totally hated it) to find a pair of male jeans that work. I love them too -- the pockets are deep enough to hold my wallet, keys & phone -- the women's jeans that I got to fit me had small pockets.

Agh I hate small pockets, but that's why I keep a basket full of jean scraps. If I find a pair of good pants with crap pockets, to hell with that. Imma make my own damn pockets.
Definitely avoiding skinny jeans, just because I'm so friggin' round. If I was skinnier I wouldn't give a damn, mainly because they stay tucked into boots a lot easier.
Rob, I'm with you on hating shopping too. I used to love it, but now I just get hella paranoid. I think for now, I'm just going to stick to shopping online.

The majority of my fat goes to my gut too, but I've had the opposite experience. Most woman do hold their weight in their hips, but, thighs so jeans are cut curvy for those areas. I just get them big enough to fit around my waist and wear a belt.

True. Belts are a lifesaver, I'll say that much.
