Hi everyone. My name is Adam. I'm 23 and identify as male despite my female body. I started my transition over a year ago but are having difficulties getting hormones.
I look forward to chatting with you all. :)

Welcome! You'll find a lot of wonderful people here. I know I have!
I'm lifemorewistful, and I am a 31 y/o genetic woman. My spouse is transgendered and identifies as female, and I am fully supportive of the love of my life.
It's good to have you here, doll!

Adam,
Welcome to Susan's.
Are you in gender counseling? And have you been diagnosed with GID?
If so your gender therapist should have send a slip too your doctor.
If you don't have a therapist then getting one is the first step.
I know that it hurts mentally and physically being in the wrong body.
Glad you joined Susan's Adam.

I've been diagnosed with GID twice. By a psychologist and a psychiatrist. Where I live the resources are limited so I think I'll have to move to a bigger city where they know what they are doing. Because there aren't any gender therapists here that I know of but there are those in Wellington who work alongside the endocrinologist.
It's nice to meet you both. C: And good to meet supportive partners too.

Adam I am sorry to hear that there is no gender therapist in your area.
Hang in there and remember we are here.
Hope to see more of your postings.

Hey Adam, welcome to the site. Even a non-gender therapist should be able to write you a recommendation for hormones, but if that doesn't work for some reason there are people who work online through skype or something of the sort. Good luck with it :)
