Hello :)
So I have been reading these forums for quite some time, so I decided that it's time for me to make an account and become active here, hopefully get some advice with things and just to meet some new people that would be going through smiler things that I am.
So ever since I can remember Ive always known something was not quite right. I never really felt comfortable and just did not understand why. When I was growing up I started showing my true colours, I enjoyed playing with the girls more then the boys, I asked for girl toys here and there ect. As I got older I started to understand what was wrong with me, that I was not like other girls but born in the wrong body. These feelings would just keep getting stronger and stronger to, they will never go away until I do something about them and become who I really am. :) :) :)
I having a feeling my Mum might know that I'm transgendered, but I'm not to sure.... She has made some comments that really make me think she is just waiting for me to come out, I really think she would take it very well which is good. But unfortunately I'm not to sure about my Dad, I really hope he would be just as supportive as Mum when I do come out. But just some remarks he has said when watching some doco's on transgendered people, has made me have second thoughts :( But they are both very open minded and have always told me they would love me, no matter what. :)
I have recently turned 18 and have decided that I am ready and I really want to start transition, I have contacted a youth help center by email and they have given me the email of a Gender clinic about an hour away from were I live. So I have kind of started transition I guess..... :-\ The next step is to come out to Mum and Dad which I'm really really worried about, not that they will take it badly, I just don't know how I will get the courage to come out to them.... Any advice would be really great!
So thats a little about me, I really look forward to getting to know everyone :) Sorry for the long read.

Hi Brittany, and welcome. One of the Admin people will be along to let you know the ground rules soon.
There are lots of girls and guys about your age who are in a similar position, so there will be plenty of ideas on coming out to your family.
Have a nice visit. Karen
