Title: Highschool Baseball

I'm extremely interested in baseball, and...I'm wondering if there's a way I can join the men's team in highschool. I'm not exactly comfortable with the softball team, I can't exactly stand it in the girls locker room and well its a bit different v___v if you know what I mean. If there's nothing then do I just give up? /:

Sorry, wasn't intending to make any dramatic point, rather than bump the thread so someone, who knows about this sort of think might see it and answer.
Sadly, I know nothing about high school, (other than it might be a tall building), baseball, other than, presuming is has something to do with a ball and a base or softball other than, rather obviously, it seems to be associated with a soft ball. You imply it is a girls game, which might explain it.

My guess is that a lot is going to depend on your status in school and the current tenor of the governing body that oversees high school athletics in your State. And then of course there is also your talent level. After all, at least in most schools, not everyone gets to join the team simply because they want to play...

I think your 1st course of action would be to talk to the coach ...if she/he is not supportive of you joining the team then it will likely be that you can't. Most schools/states are okay with female athletes joining male teams b/c physically speaking women are typically weaker so there isn't an advantage. There are lots of girls who have played on boys teams on the high school level.

If you live in the US, legally no. Title IX is generally interpreted with softball being an equivalent sport to baseball. You may get the coach/athletic director to allow you to play out of the goodness of their hearts, but that's probably your only shot.
