Title: Hello

My name is Roy, and I'm new here. A friend recommended that I come here, so I have.
I live in a fairly conservative area. Terrified of coming out as transgender to most people, especially my parents - my mom would blame herself and my dad would be really angry. They would also have the same reaction to me liking girls, though I'm more open about that to people at my school.
I used to be in marching band, but it hurts me more than helps at this point. I'm also pretty depressed and self-injure, few people know either of those. Only close friends and internet friends. I'm in honors and AP classes at school, though I don't really have much motivation to do a lot of work; school's easy for me. I've had four years of French and three of Spanish, which are both very easy for me. I get over 100% due to extra credit in those classes, and I don't even try in them. No idea what I'm going to do in the future, or where I'll go to college.
Right now, I spend a lot of time reading and playing video games, especially World of Warcraft (WoW). Gives me something to do, at least.
I pass as a guy fairly well, but I lack a binder and my chest is very obvious, so if someone looks at me for more than five seconds and I don't have a winter coat on, they notice I'm female.
No way to start transitioning or even get a binder at this point, unfortunately. I'm hoping to have that by the time I start college next year, though.

Welcome, Roy.
Well, here's some motivation to keep doing well in college, which will require good study habits:

- Better education = more earnings
- More earnings = more savings
- More savings - faster route to full transition
Good luck with it all.

Hi, Roy. I'm Sage.
You seem like a very bright, very kind young man. And just watch, you're gonna make something of yourself.
I was in marching band, too: flute for three years and marimba/chimes/xylophone/bells for one year. What did you play?
