Title: Packing Dysphoria.
Post by: spenceroar on July 12, 2011, 09:52:07 PM
Hey all,
I'll re introduce myself as I don't post here very frequently, but am trying to rectify that.
I'm Spencer, 24 and have been on T for almost 6 years. Post top surgery 4 years, post hysto 6 months.

Recently I've been having difficulties with packing. I find that I am wanting to pack everyday, especially STP, but when I need to pee I am wrought with dysphoria. I've been using an STP for an exceptionally long time, and it seems the longer I'm on T the less and less comfortable I am with having to use a prosthesis to urinate, or even just feel comfortable.
I despise having to use a "tool" to piss with, but going to the bathroom without it is much worse. I'm unsure of how to handle this dysphoria as it seems to be getting to the point where I will avoid urinating as it causes me so much grief. This is not a good thing for my bladder, as it's aching a lot of the time from witholding voiding.

In short, does anyone have any tips or recomendations to alleviate the growing dysphoria?
I really would like to purchase a PeeCock prosthesis, however all my spare money is going into a savings account for my upcoming wedding, so this isn't really an option.
Spencer.

^ agreed, it works well with lots of practice. Especially if you're going to the club and getting a little more than tipsy. It's amazing how getting drunk can affect your ability to pee straight...

It's probably the best you can do unless you get phalloplasty.

By the way, congrats on the wedding :)

You could start saving for a metoidioplasty or centurion. Personally I think that's the better options of the two lower surgeries simply because you still have all the sensation and you can piss out of it.

PeeCock wouldn't just be for you.  ;)

Is it a physical discomfort you're experiencing or something else?

I'm tired of jabbing myself in the junk with my pee tool and pissing on my hand.
It's like a consolation prize until the little goober and my savings grows enough for lower surgery.
But at least that's something.

Can't get volume up high enough to hear that video clearly. Is he talking about touching the female leftovers in the men's room?

It might be a good idea to start researching different surgeries. Bottom surgery gets a lot of crap, but for a lot of trans guys it's something they eventually want or need. Different doctors have different techniques and different results. An....acquaintance of mine really did his research, looked at all the options, what people's results were and found a doctor that would give him what he wanted. It's possible that this might be right for you.

The other options that I can think of would be getting a very realistic prosthetic type of STP, or learning how to pee standing without an STP. It takes a long time to learn and an even longer time to master but there is a way to do it.

Thanks for all the replies.
Surgery simply isn't an option for me. Not only am I unsatisfied with the results currently available, but. Could literally buy a house in Australia with the money it would cost - even locally.
I've chatted to my fiancé and we've agreed to pull some money out of the wedding fund to buy a Peecock. I just hope it works.

I too am sick of stabbing myself in the junk when I need to go, so hopefully this will allow me a little more of a realistic experience.
I did watch that YouTube video and am able to do that method, but it gives me more dysphoria than it's worth I'm afraid.

Thanks again everyone.
