Ive always suspected there is something off with me. I have a horrible immune system as well and I feel I look extremely masculine for a woman.

You could go to a doctor and let your hormon levels or chromosomes be checked (but I don't know if your health insurance covers it).
For specifics read Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intersex (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intersex)
Good luck to you,
Alex

Thanks. I currently take birth control because Ive been very irregular with my period since I got it. Its showed "normal" levels of testosterone for a women, normal estrogen, low progesterone but I read that levels of "free" testosterone aren't always a good indication. Is there any way I could msg you some photos. thanks so much

Sorry, but I have no clue about how birth control shows any hormone levels, I don't do any birth control myself.
What's that method called anyway? I don't know, if I can be of any help with photos either.
I don't think you need to worry about being intersex that much, if you have periods and normal hormone levels without taking hormone pills.
But there shouldn't be made any "diagnosis" via internet, so I'd highly recommend you to go seeing a doctor, if you want to be sure - all the more if your immune system is weak!
Your family doctor should be able to have a first look at you and may send you to an endocrinologist for further checks, if anything is fishy.
Well I'm German though, so I don't know much about American birth control methods and am used to health insurance covering checks.
I hope everything will work out for you. :)
Good Night,
Alex

If you are having periods there is very little chance you are Intersex. Almost all Intersex conditions preclude fertility and if you are having periods you are probably fertile.
There could be any number of other medical conditions causing what you describe but you really need to see a doctor to sort it out.

Can you tell me about any other conditions? The Drs are checking me for auto immune diseases, I get very weird things for my age such as arthritus, skin rashes, constant flus etc. No one seems to be telling me what is making me look "masculine" though which is frusturating

Im affraid i must correct you on one area.A period does NOT indicate fertility-this i know by experience.A period is just the shedding of the uterus and nothing more. This can and does happen as long as a uterus is in working order and is there (clearly) but that does not effect the ovaries.Even though i have a uterus,my ovaries are trash and i have been infertile for over 16 years (to be exact,i have been infertile since puberty but fate decided to *allow* that to change for a small moment.two kids since the age of 17 and i am now 36.i couldnt have kids if i wanted to). Many conditions can ruin ones ovaries but to assume that the uterus is ALL thats needed in order to have children,is a very poor thought.I do realize you said *probably* but i am making this clear so there is no misunderstanding by future posters.

Not true. Though very rare, some intersex people outwardly appear female, inwardly appear female, yet they also have an ovotestis in place of an ovary. (Me) Most do not know there is a problem until they try to get pregnant. Though for most, removal of the ovotestis restores fertility. It did in my case.
Intersex had nothing to do with me being trans, though; I always thought I was male from my earliest memories. Who knows, maybe it is related because I had a testicle. ;)

No but having a (relatively) normal period indicates the presence of a functional uterus and ovaries that are producing sufficient estrogen and progesterone. That eliminates a great many Intersex conditions.

You are very lucky that only one gonad was an ova-testes (or one of each). If both had been ova-testes, your hormone levels would have been screwed up enough to preclude fertility. (Ask me how I know!)

Yep, only had one ovary, as discovered when I couldn't get pregnant, and shriveled ovotestis on the other side where the ovary should have been. Plucked it out and voila (well, with fertility drugs) I got pregnant.
Sorry if your fertility was affected negatively esp. if you wanted children. That sucks. :(
