Title: resistance bands

Has anyone here found success using resistance bands for exercise? Do they offer cardio, muscle toning or both with their use? Have any exercise examples to share?

I have a band but not quite sure how to start using it and also wonder if it is worth it (for weight loss and muscle building).

I have used resistance bands before in martial arts training to enhance power and reaction time. Recently my dad's been using them and he told me they're good for creating leaner and longer muscles.

The more I've been trying them they seem to work good in both an aerobic and toning manner. I need both so it's good for me. Could see how others who want to bulk may prefer free weights though.
