Interesting piece on the National Post site called Between Two Sexes. Writer Barbara Kay wonders about the phenomenon of "sex merging, " particularly in pre-sexual children. She cites the recent news stories about a Toronto couple who are declining to reveal the sex of their baby, and whose older child, a boy, has been encouraged to dress like a girl.

I can't say much about sex merging, except that it sounds like ->-bleeped-<- by any other name.  I am not quite as appalled by "this absurd and dangerous impulse toward social engineering" as Barbara is. Because let's face it: women have been blurring gender lines for a long time. Children learn from their elders, yes?
