Maybe been done before, but thought this would be fun. For myself, I loved my matchbox cars. And, to date myself, I also loved my action figures.....Johnny West and Chief Cherokee. And Thunderbolt ...the horse.

Tonka trucks and army men and the cowboys and indians you used to get in bags. the people came with horses that some could ride. My fave had to be the big Tonka trucks tho.

Stuffed animals, dolls, and Lego. I'd always enact these little dramas with my dolls (I loved anything that involved playing pretend or making up stories), and I'd usually build weird little abstract sculptures with my Legos rather than houses, bridges, or the usual fare.

For me it was always about colour - so I used to spend hours and hours looking at my marbles (I seem to have lost them at some point) :).
(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.turnbacktogod.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2008%2F09%2Fmarbles.jpg&hash=1fa0dc264d3a3e0f63be47e502e40d888c22279d)
That kind of marbles. Wow, that was very weird - looking for a good image on google gave me a huge wave of memory and nostalgia.
Apart from them, lego (and pulling off my action man's head and filling it with bathwater) were the main entertainment.

When I was growing up my fave toys were Action Force (I believe they're GI Joe in the USA), I would spend hours making a base (home) for my figures, there was only one female figure so she lived in the base with Skip (leader of the green force).
Then after a while my older brothers would get bored of seeing me build my base & wade in & destroy everything & I would get very angry/upset.
My other fave was Lego, I had a ton of space Lego & would take over the dining table, i'd start by using boxes on one end of the table to create hills & cover that with a tablecloth, I would then build the moonbase as quickly as possible because everything had to be finished & packed away by teatime, I spent much of my childhood doing this as for some reason my brothers wouldn't wade in & destroy everything, they'd go on playing their boys games & leave me in peace to create my utopian society.

I liked playing with army men and action figures but I REALLY liked toys that had water in them. I thought it was so cool to shake them up and see the bubbles inside. I also enjoyed bath toys and stuffed animals.

Another toy I loved was Zoids, robot animals (mostly dinosaurs) that you would build from kit, i've always loved dinosaurs & robots so something that combined the two was a dream come true.
I had a few as a child but several years ago they got re-released, I now have around 40 of them but due to a lack of space they are in storage right now.

Legos and matchbox cars. Balsa planes, styrofoam planes, parachute people. Binoculars. Lots of homemade swords and bows and arrows, and homemade shields and helmets. And slingshots. Homemade toy boats for the gutters and the bathtub.

Light brite!!! God I miss that thing. Also, books. I didn't really have any toys, or other people to play with, so I sat with my nose in a book from the minute I could read to, well... now, I guess. I read about 20 novels a year now, at the max. It's usually closer to 15, but it really depends on the year :-)

Ah yes. Roy Rogers and Dale Evans.
I never could quite understand these cowboys having range wars on horseback, while this one guy was driving around in a military surplus jeep.

I grew up in the 90's, so my favorite stuff were the Batman, Godzilla and Power Ranger action figures.
I loved those things, especially this awesome giant transforming toy I had of the white tiger from Power Rangers.
Those were the coolest toys you could get back then.
I also loved certain Sailor Moon toys I had. I was able to save one of a heart locket that plays music and lights up when you open it, still works. I think the Sailor Moon toys were the only girly toys I liked as a kid, everything else was action figures, water guns and nerf. I always wanted a BB gun, but my dad wouldn't allow it.
Still like action figures though, I currently have 19 action figures on my computer desk alone, and more scattered throughout my room.

I had one of those creepy crawler ovens which was a boy's version of an easy-bake oven that made all kinds of little multicolored plastic bugs. That was like my favorite toy for the longest time. My sister helped me make some of them into colorful little bug necklaces & bracelets and we sold them at school, they were really popular! :D

Yes, I had one of those too. As I recall, there was a similar kit that you could use to make bugs ans stuff you could eat. I think it was called, "Incredible Edibles."

Fluppets were my absolute favourite.
They were a brand of fluffy, animal hand puppet and I had loads, They had a land, a culture a language and families. I used to write stories about them, make eternal puppet shows and draw maps and pictures.
My fave was a fox that I called Plucky... when he aged he looked remarkably like this one.

My favourite toy was a Jafar toy from Aladdin. My siblings and I used to play "Roger and Bad Guys" and have Jafar, a firefighter (named Roger after the guy from Doug), and Governer Ratcliff kidnap other toys who would then try to escape. Then we realized we preferred the bad guys and just played with them.
