I would be interested in replacing my land line phone & internet connection with a cell phone if that's possible. I know everyone else out there has cell phones and can post videos directly to YouTube through them, post on twitter, post on facebook, read and comment on their friends on facebook all from their phone. And that's what I would need to be able to do. I hear about unlimited talk, text & web on TV in commercials all the time but I don't know if that truly means I can use YouTube, Facebook & Twitter to my heart's content all for one guaranteed price with no surprise $300, $500, or $1000 cell phone bills for being on the net too much. So I need to know what it is you use, what service, what phone, and what you pay per month for it.
I'm asking because everything we have has gotten too expensive and we need to cut back. We're spending $200 a month for basic TV, a phone with unlimited long distance, and DSL internet. The phone & internet is on one bill for $100 and the satellite is $90 on another bill. The $99 Comcast triple play thing doesn't apply to where I live, that costs $230/mo here so that's even worse. But I would at least like to knock out the phone & internet and replace both phone/internet services for less than $80 a month if it's possible to get an unlimited talk, text & internet plan like they advertize. It would also really help if a free phone is included since we don't have $200-300 laying around to buy a cell phone. It would also be better for me since I might be living a mobile lifestyle one day and I also need to do other things besides be connected to the net 24/7, but I still need to be able to check in without restriction of when or how long or how much data I can view. So I want to look into other options but I don't have a clue where to start because we're not stinking rich and we've never considered anything but forking out $100 after taxes for land line service because there's no other company to go with.
