Title: Two questions.

Basically, these are two things I don't know about:
1. When I was around 7, my testes would swell periodically, both to the size of roughly a golf ball (or larger) and it was extremely painful, and a few months of it went on before I had a have an emergency surgery at one of my state's leading hospitals. To this day, I haven't been able to find the records on what my condition was, or what surgery was performed on me. Any ideas?
2. Is the prostrate located directly behind the testes? If so, mine feels like a "shaft" of sorts (like an intestine, a gut, a 'tube') then my prostrate has always been as huge and big as a cow. I can literally play with it, it moves like I'm playing with a big tongue. Is this normal, or is this just an internal part of the penis shaft and not the prostrate?
Sorry for not knowing these things.

1. Sounds exactly like testicular tortion. Same thing happened to me which I was about 9. Emergency surgery was required to correct it. My testes did swell about three times their size. But it could be many things.
2. That is actually part of your penis. The penis actually continues on past your pubic skin....when many guys get surgery to enlongate their penis, the doctors removed the skin and manipulate it to give the appearence of a larger penis. Your prostate is located closer to your anus. If someone were to insert a finger into your anus and give a "come here" motion with their index finger, they will touch the prostate.
Hope that helps/

Hi RhinoP,
It does sound like testicular Torsion. I had the same thing, very painful with emergency surgery. Even today sometimes my testicles swell up and hurt really really bad. I always wondered if they made a mistake.

2. What Annah said - that's just more erectile tissue. Some guys have more than others below the balls. I'm very much looking forward to losing mine (which goes "erectile" at the drop of a hat), as it's one of the things that prevents me from cycling (one proximate cause of an easily scarred urethra, which I'm also looking forward to losing most of). Your prostate sits under the neck of your bladder, well inside.
