Yo guys jus curious bout this. I myself dont pack mainly bc i dont have money rite now but dysphoria been gettin worse...

I am actually in the process of buying one ... had the store had it I would have bought it ... we are waiting for it to come in

yes, 24/7. it eases my dysphoria some, so at this point i do anything that will ease it even a little bit.

I have three or four packers but rarely wear one. I don't get bothered too much with what goes on down there.

All the time. I've taken it off to run it underwater, but most of the time I just pull my homemade harness up to my midsection and wash it like that. It gets clean in the shower with me, I don't even take it off to dust it. I just do like people do with baby powder.

After determining it was safe (and finding my condom-of-hairgel an unworthy alternative), I even began swimming with my packer.

It makes me considerably less dysphoric.

Andrew, have you tried making your own harness? I use a thin-ish ace bandage and a hair-band.

Don't feel the need / don't think it will help. 

I wear my packer when I go out (most of the time).  Sometimes around the house, but rarely.  It makes me feel more secure when I'm out.  No one can truly notice (I don't create a large bulge), but for whatever reason it makes me feel better.

What kind of packer do you have?  I'd love to go swimming before the summer is over, but I'm afraid of the packer getting messed up or floating in the water.  I should probably try it in the tub first, now that I think about it.  How do you secure it when swimming?  Sorry to bombard you with questions haha

No problem, ha.  ;D I have your run-of-the-mill mister limpy, got it from toolshed toys. (Although I have since found Early 2 Bed, which has basically the same packer, just a little cheaper). I modded it with a hot screwdriver and a travelmate, so it's an STP.

I have no idea how it would react to pools (chlorine), but I've bathed in it and swam in lakes with no issue. I secure it with a homemade harness. I used an ace bandage (you could use any elastic) and tied both ends to a hairband, which sort of acts as a cock ring, sort of "twisted over" the travelmate a few times and once over the packer. It's never fallen out with this. (You could invest in a real harness, but homemade ones work just as well.)

I do around the house. I am not sure if everything looks normal and I am kinda worried it will decide to move and look like a boner especially because I know people in town I am not out to as trans. I feel like asking a friend if it looks normal but I feel akward doing so.

I had this happen once.  After about a 20 min walk I got on a train with standing room only.  It was then that I realized that it had shifted slightly and now looked exactly like a boner.  A guy sitting down about two feet from me kept looking at my crotch then at my face and back to my crotch again.  (I don't pass very well.)  Eventually I made eye contact and smiled.  He found something else to look at after that.  ::)  Anyways, that's the only time I've ever had it visible (to my knowledge anyways), which I think isn't too bad as I don't wear a harness.

No, I don't pass yet so wearing one doesn't seem like a smart idea. I will wear one once I pass better though.

I pack daily, and sometimes while sleeping depending on my level of dysphoria that day.

Haha, I have got to ask that of someone some time! Fortunately I know enough people who would probably just laugh, at the least.

I'm caught between "yes" and "sometimes." I use a jockstrap to keep it in place, so when using the restroom I often have to take it out and set it aside so it doesn't fall when I'm pulling everything down -- sometimes I just don't feel like having to deal with that (usually at work). That or I'll get lazy and not put it all on. But, by and large lately I have been packing. Even if I haven't been packing at home that day I will pack if I'm leaving for somewhere (and then leave it on) because the way my pants are there's a lack of bulge when sitting down which makes me really uncomfortable.

My preference, however, is 24/7.
