Title: help my singing voice
Post by: Jeh on August 01, 2011, 09:08:41 PM
I want to audition for my school musical as a male, but I'm having trouble sounding male as a singer. Even when I do, I can't hit anything above the E above middle C, so it's hard for me to find a part I can sing.

that's my newest voice clip.

Any advice?

That is so helpful, thank you.

I will be doing mostly operatic stuff next year at school, so hopefully my range will develop.

thanks.

Well I think you sound totally male.   I would not for a moment think you were not male.  In the beginning, it did kinda sound like you could have been a gay guy, lol.  but not near the end.

Unfortunately, I'm not  singer, so I don't have any advice for you :)  But I think it sounds real good!

thanks. I've been read as male a lot lately, and I assume that means gay male, because that's just the way I come across, but I appreciate hearing what you have to say. I'd love to come across as a straight male, but that will probably take some time.
