Title: If someone offered you $1 Million...
Post by: RhinoP on August 02, 2011, 03:40:09 AM
If someone gave you $1 Million if you agreed to do these exact steps to your appearance (say you need these specific steps performed):

1. Undergo hormone therapy to correct a balding hairline.
2. Undergo hormone therapy/laser treatments/topicals to correct extreme oil production and acne.
3. Undergo hormone therapy to lessen the amount of body hair by at least some degree.
4. Have a crown placed over a broken front tooth.
5. Undergo nasal correction for a broken, injured nose.
6. Undergo brow bone correction to correct a deformity stemming from a growth disease called Acromegaly.
7. Depending on the effects of the corrections above, optionally undergoing minimal buccal fat (cheek) liposuction.
8. Depending on the effects of the corrections above, optionally undergoing laser hair removal.

Would you accept a $1 Million paycheck for mandatorily undergoing these steps (or any steps that'd improve the physical health of your body specific to you?)

Just wondering, because it seems that many members on this forum think it's "wrong" for a person to want improvements to their bodies, and constantly try to make up psychological excuses why someone would be better off seeking therapy or going to church. I however, beyond my natural identity wishes, have been offered a sum of over $1 Million dollars by various directors and producers who want me to star in various productions over a span of the next 30 years because of my extensive and unique inner talents; a requirement being that I have to physically fit my identity and the roles I naturally want to (and am required to) play. However, I will not receive a dime of the $1 Million if I do not partake in the 8 transition steps above, it's already been laid out by contract.

So I'll ask again: would a $1 Million paycheck motivate you to better your physical appearance, especially when it came to appearance defects that are diagnosed as diseases, deformities, and injuries? Or would you turn down $1 Million in favor of following a non-physical transition because of a religious belief or because your therapist told you that bettering the physical appearance is an unrealistic goal?

For a million dollars, I could do a lot of things. Well.....some things.

However, no one is going to give me a million dollars so I have to make do with what I have.

I don't think it's wrong, I just don't have the money.

My mom has had facial plastic surgery, in some angles she looks nice, in others she looks like Michael Jackson. >.> Those 'improvements' may not always be for the better, especially when they looked fine to begin with.

if they are paying for these steps on top of the million dollars, I might consider it but it all those steps had to come out of my own pocket then no.

I talked with a guy once, he had done some hard time as a result of a money laundering deal.  He had graduated from Ivy League&Wharton S.B. and so I had to ask how you get from from the Ivy League to federal prison, and he told me that when you walk into a room and there is a million dollars in cash sitting there, that all of your values and all of your morals go right out the window.  I'm sure he's right.

To the OP's scenario, I could easily answer in the negative.  Aside from the list including far too many unnecessary procedures, I am also not a fan of surgery just for the sake of surgery (which is one of the reasons I refused surgery when I broke my hand some years back...risk v reward analysis just didn't make enough sense for me to risk greater injury given the confined space and limited return).

Quite frankly, however, I seriously doubt that such a contract has been offered...

There is nothing wrong seeking out therapy. Surgery alone will not fix your self esteem issues. It just wont. Seeking surgery to make yourself feel better without any form of therapy to go along with it will result in plastic surgery addiction or an unhealthy self esteem.

QuoteI however, beyond my natural identity wishes, have been offered a sum of over $1 Million dollars by various directors and producers who want me to star in various productions over a span of the next 30 years because of my extensive and unique inner talents; a requirement being that I have to physically fit my identity and the roles I naturally want to (and am required to) play. To be very honest, I find it difficult when you are being real or when you are thinking about what you wish would happen in  your life. In your past posts you have been everything from a Facial Feminization Surgery consultant, a director, a musician, a screenwriter, an author, an actor, a composer, media host, and an activist and you are only in your early twenties.  Giving out false identities such as this along with saying someone is giving you a million dollars by to be an actor will only put you deeper in this rabbit hole of yours.

Also, 1 million dollars over 30 years is less money than an assistant manager at Walmart makes. And since a part of that 1 million dollars is going towards all those surgeries, you are left with very little.

But other than that, you really should try to face the world of the reality versus the world of fantasy.

A lot of "cosmetic" improvements (dental work), I simply don't want. On the list for me would be 'teeth straightened", but frankly I don't want to deal with braces/invisalign for the minimal change it'll have.

are we allowed to use this for HRT/surgery though?

dude. kay. If a producer wanted to pay me 1 billion US for 5 years of work, and would pay to make me beautiful, I'd take the offer. But your scenario is horrible. I'd rather keep my part time job at Value Village.

You're all a bunch of lying sacks of crap.  If someone offered you a million dollars you'd take it and ask what you had to do for it later, and pretty much it wouldn't matter.

I'd do surgery and stuff for a million quid - but alas, being perfect, I don't think they could find anything to spend their money on.

That sounds horrible. I don't think I'd take that offer, not for a million bucks. A million is almost nothing now. Sure it'd help me get out of debt, go through some more surgeries and all but I don't think I need it with the surgery listed.

How about use it to create another you.

That'd only dilute the perfection.

If someone offered me a million dollars over the span of years the OP stated, I would not take it. That's not a lot of money over a period of 30 some years. And as I stated, a dept manager from walmart would make more. And then for certain "filming favors"? So no. I would not take the offer.

If someone asked me to do all of that for a pile of green paper I would tell them to get screwed. Money isn't everything.

Ditto here.

I need more details, but I would do it.

How much time out of your everyday life, or is it just a rare visit. It depends... if it's everyday like a normal job then I have to think this out.

I guess at the end of the day, we're all just sacks of crap.

I need fifteen thousand dollars to clear any trace of debt from my name. And I'd rather put in hard hours of work to do so than accept some lousy offer. A million dollars sounds pretty, but not everyone is interested in excess money.
