Title: Brow Help
Post by: jessicas37 on August 06, 2011, 01:47:59 AM
After my first wonderful weekend out i have spent the entire week looking forward to this saturday when i can do it all over again. But i do i have one problem left now that i think i have my makeup down. My brows are still just a little bit to bushy and was unsure how to approach this.

.....I was thinking of going to stylist and asking for a happy medium but unsure how to ask i was just gonna say "more of an androgenous trim on the brows?". This is my achillis heel but i also do not want to completely shave because i am not out to everyone yet....

Hi Jessica,
You look cute, the style suits and you are smiling and look very happy, great

I've had my brows done four times at two different places and had no problems with either. The one I go to more often just happens to be more convenient. I have been in boy mode at all of them.  The first time at each place I said I wanted them thinned and arched in a feminine style. The first place told me off  for having tried to do them myself.  She also showed me how to use brow liner to paint them in for when I go out.
The place I go to now know me and Cassandra the girl who has looked after me each time chats away, while arching them. Do you want them like last time? I think I can get more arch now etc. There has been no hassles what so ever.
They also grow back quit quickly. I now get my back and legs waxed at the same place.

The only people who have mentioned them are friends I am out to. Buy I'm also at the point that I no longer care what people think, I'm me and going forward.

Hugs Hun, and have a great time out, you going for dinner or clubbing?

Cindy

clubbing......My first night out last saturday was to a local bar that has drag shows and it was awesome. I got "couenseld" (i cant spell) by a few girls their who showed me what i was doing wrong with makeup and all pointed out to me my brows were a giveaway.....One question though so it is possible to have them done that could pass for either...I was scared that would be hard to impossible im glad to  hear different and now know what to ask....

Yes I remember your post, the girls sounded great, really nice and friendly.
As a rule of thumb, I have found women notice things guys don't.  Since guys don't usually shape eyebrows, they don't expect them to be shaped on someone presenting as a guy. So it's easy to get away with. I have two hoop ear rings in each ear an no guy has said anything, and they do not look in the least masculine.
Lots of girls notice and when I shop for ear rings all of the staff know they are for me.

Enjoy the night out and I look forward to the report  :-*

I would go to an esthetician to have your brows shaped, they can help make the brows look more female.

I have difficult brows anyway with scars that cut them pretty much in half from martial arts training. I just pluck them upwards to a point and they are very short but look more feminine than if I just let them go. One thing I do is try to get all of them that fall below the lower ridge of my brow line-that keeps them from being so heavy and close to my eye. I also pluck the hair in the middle between my brows above my nose. When I began doing this I wasn't satisfied with it but then I went to the post office and I'll be darned if the lady who waited on me doesn't do the same thing-no hair in the middle-veryshort brows that point upwards toward the mid brow line with nothing to the outside of that point. It made me feel a bit better about what I was doing!
I havent started using makeup yet nor eyebrow pencils but want to soon. Good luck.
