Title: Bathroom question
Post by: jmaxley on August 06, 2011, 05:23:19 PM
So I was wondering, if you're in the men's room and need to use the stall and someone is already in the stall, what to do?  Do you leave and come back later (and hope it's empty)?  Stand next to the stall waiting for the person to be done?  Go wash your hands, fix your collar or hair, etc.?

Leave and wait in view of the door.

I'm not going to wait there while they blow the place up. If I hear a flush while I'm on my way in or before I notice the stall is used i might wait... But that's one show I'd rather not listen to (or smell) if I don't need to.

I face this a lot at work because there is only a 1 stall bathroom within walking distance during my break . Usually I wash my hands to get an idea of how long the guy is gonna take, if he's taking forever I come back later if I can wait. I've seen guys wait for the stalls before, usually they just casually lean against a wall and fidget with their cell phones or something but if it's at like a work breakroom the waiting outside near the door is a good idea.

Wait outside by the door.

I've waited by the door before and I've also left and came back. Depended on the situation. For example, at the movie theater with a crowd; waited by the door along with other guys waiting.

Like Andrew, I wash my hands to gauge how long the other guy will take.  If I feel like it'll be a while, I will go outside the restroom and walk around a bit, keeping a close eye on the door.  Once the guy leaves, I wait a few beats then go back in.

The only time I waited inside the bathroom was at a busy theatre where all the guys were in a queue to go.

I usually go wash my hands to see how long the guy's gonna take. If it's gonna take a little while, I wait by the door.

->-bleeped-<-. i wait in the bathroom. like the "lobby" area of the bathroom by the sink. do i look like a predator to other guys or something? that's what people did in the womens restroom. i'm not really afraid to be in the mens because i've had surgery and i pass well in public so i guess thats why i dont mind standing around.

O.o

mens rooms don't have a lobby.

I got a kick out of the first time I went into a public womans bathroom. Saw a couch in the corner and I was like O.O who the hell would want to just sit around in here like it was a waiting room. Took me a few years (and seeing a few more couches in bathrooms) to figure out 9 times out of 10 a woman goes in the public bathrooms just to pee (or change) and with how much longer it can take a woman to do their business compared to a man a place to sit (and furiously cross your legs if needed) wouldn't be a bad idea.

Now here's a question and I hope I don't offend anyone or what not... I've been thinking about this since shortly after I bumped into my first post about F2M's using the mens room.

Do you guys try to aim it so it doesn't obviously sound like a ... um ... person with the wrong junk is peeing into a toilet while sitting down?

Anyone who's had a mom that just didn't care who was around when she went to the bathroom should be able to know the difference between the sound of a woman peeing into a toilet and a man peeing into the toilet and I just can't help myself anymore. I just gotta ask it... or maybe I'm just being to self conscious about the situation if I was in your shoes.

Again... sorry if how I worded it offends anyone.

Livingingrey- I used to try to do that but now after hearing some men who sound the same as women while peeing I dont bother. I know a lot of bio guys who admit to being "too lazy to stand" when they gotta go. Plus most men don't notice and anyone who would call ya out on it would have to admit to listening to another guy taking a whiz ya know?

I leave and come back later. The wait is never longer than a minute anyway.

I use the 'stand slightly over and aim' trick so it sounds right. I've sat down a few times, and I always got very aware of how difference the sound is. So yeah, I try to get the sound right.  :-\

You know it's funny as I always try to give people their privacy even my family in these matters as a kid.  So I never noticed how true this can be till I started to use the women's restroom the first few times listening to everything worried as heck.

I don't think you should worry to much though... as most people especially in places like a Wal-mart restroom, a theatre, etc?  They just want to get the hell in and out as quickly as possible.  So they are more then likely not even paying attention as the desire to get out of a nasty public restroom is often more at the forefront.

Yeah, I know people generally don't care. I generally only use the bathroom when I'm at a bar, and people are too pissed to notice anyway

I usually just leave and come back after a few minutes, although I have done the lean against the wall near the entrance and fiddle with the cell phone bit a couple of times.
