I hate that my feet are so damn big. I can't find women's shoes that fit me at all. :'( I wear an 11 in men's, sometimes a 12 depending on the brand. I basically try to find the least masculine shoes and sandals that I can find. And forget about finding anything in pink or any other "feminine" color. *sigh* Anyone have any suggestions on where I can find more feminine looking shoes and/or sandals?

That's where I usually turn to and just stick the least masculine looking shoes and sandals I can find.

I have the same problem, I wear a woman's 13 or 14. You'd think some brown sandels would be easy to find.

I've found a few deals at bare foot tess.

Thanks Sarah. What I don't understand is how barefoottess.com has these Simple "Flippee" sandals in size 13 when, according to Simple's website, they don't carry anything over size 12 in women's. I like the polka dot pair:

I figure that they must have a special deal with the manufacturer. I've bought blowfish shoes in 14 and blowfish doesn't have anything over 12. Not complaining though.

While I'm not sure if you mean UK/US sizes, (I don't know what the equivelent US sizes are for UK sizes) I find Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk have a good range of sizes and styles available. You can select what scale (US/UK) you want to browse to make it easier. Hope that's in some way helpful.

www.tallwomen.org (http://www.tallwomen.org) has a great list of websites/retailers that sell tall womens sizes.

I'm 5' 9" with size 8 feet (UK).  Two things I have noticed.

1.  Female shoe size 8 is usually a Euro size 41.  These can be a bit of a squeeze as a male size 8 is usually a Euro size 42.  Nine West and Next shoes seem to be ok though.

2.  A heel helps a lot.  I find flats increase the golf club look.  I do have flats to pop out in but if I am going out for the evening, heels are the thing.  Don't worry about being too tall there are plenty of tall women out there.

Where the design and style by the same manufacturer is available in both mens and womens sections, you can take the same size shoe (after conversion) and set them side by side. The mens shoe, even though it's for the same size foot, will always be larger and chunkier on the outside.

Men have wider feet.

There was another thread on here that discussed foot length as a proportion of height - there is a great deal of truth to that in that I would think you would quite literally topple over if you were tall enough and your feet weren't long enough to support you.  If that's true, tall women's resources should also have shoes in a larger (longer, not necessarily wider) size as well.

If you get open toed shoes then like me you may get away with size 9s, I do, if the shoes are closed then don't risk it, i've been suffering with a pair of size 9 knee high boots for months now but i've finally stretched them enough to be able to wear them for a few hours as long as I stay sat down  :D I know I should give up on them but I love them to bits.

Unfortunately I seem to have a phobia about putting any financial details into a website after being caught out by a trojan many years ago so all I can do on these online shops is some virtual window shopping, on the bright side, if i did start shopping online i'd get carried away in seconds so it's probably for the best.

Sorry, I guess I should have mentioned that I was referring to US sizes. I wear an 11-12 in men's US. If I'm not mistaken, a 11.5 in men's US equates to a 13 in women's US. So a 13 in women's US should fit me.

You could try Victoria Secrets or Fredricks of Hollywood, the carry larger sizes.

I ordered a pair of sandals that are 13 medium width. I wasn't sure if medium would be wide enough or if I would need a wide. And yep, I need a wide. The sandals will have to go back because they are way too narrow. *sigh*

They're cute and they're really comfortable. They're also vegan, but that's not the specific reason I got them. Although, I'm sure it does increase my social capital here in the northwest. :D I stopped by this Shoe-a-holics store on a whim just to see what they had and I saw these. They're men's shoes, but they have women's sizes that look the same. The women's version also comes in additional, more stereotypically feminine colors. Apparently they do a one-for-one thing, where for every pair of shoes you buy they give a pair to a child in need of shoes.
