Title: Les Love Boat Binder Sizing

I'm planning on getting one of the sports short pullover binders and one of the velcro v-neck short binders, and I'm not sure about sizing. I wear a small in Underworks, and according to the sizing chart on LLB, I should get a medium. I've heard from some, though, that it's best to order a size smaller than they recommend for the sports one for it to really bind well. I'm a bit of a stickler for a super flat chest, but at the same time, the reason I'm ordering from LLB is for something a bit more comfortable than Underworks. I don't mind a bit of discomfort, but I don't want to get something too small so that it's really hard to breathe and makes me just as sore as Underworks. Thoughts from anyone who's tried LLB? Also, if you want to comment with your sizing info, that would be helpful.

I actually just happen to have recently received the sports pullover short binder that I ordered, so I can offer a bit of insight for you.
I don't see why ordering a size smaller would be of benefit with that one. When I first pulled it out it looked really small, and I was nervous about it fitting at all (I measured to a 3XL, and ordered that size), but I gave it a shot all the same. It actually stretches as needed, but somehow it still compresses remarkably well given that fact. Not to mention: it is comfortable -- man is it comfortable -- and I really hardly noticed it at all. I think it's comparable to the high performance short binder that I've had for about eight months now (give or take), but I don't need to worry about the velcro, it's easier to adjust with, and it's more comfortable. Because it's not as restrictive, it's really easy to breath in as well.
So, from my experience, you should be good ordering the medium, though if you wanted to go a size smaller you could probably do that as well.
As for the v-neck, I can't say anything to that one: no experience.

I had the same question as you, I'm looking forward to seeing more replies.
Hey Noah, do you think you could share a picture of you wearing the sports pullover short binder? If you're not comfortable I understand, I'm just curious to see how well it works.

Certainly. I was considering getting pics anyways to be sure I wasn't just delusional, haha.
Might take a little bit though because I'm horrible at taking pics of myself, and I only have my cell, really. Just a heads up.

If it helps, I have the v-neck and love it. I have a large and it's perfect, although is much closer to being too big than too small. Someone a little larger than me could still easily wear the large but anyone smaller than me should be a medium (at least). I'm 39 around, 34 under and a medium underworks 997 was a little big on me.
That said, due to the fabric it's made out of, sizing down just makes it uncomfy, not bind better. Their sizing charts were very accurate for me.
Good luck :)

I have the sports pullover binder in size medium. The site told me to get a medium, so that's what I ended up getting. It fits very well, and I don't think I'd fit well into a small. My chest measurement was 33 inches around the widest point.

I have the velcro v-neck in a small. I'm actually thinking of taking the sewing machine to it with a couple inches extra fabric and seeing if I can modify it because I can barely get the velcro attached and when I do, it's uncomfortable (and I spent bucks on the damn thing). As far as flattening, it does that (I think I'm a mid size B or something) but the compromise is the comfort level.
I also have the mesh back velcro one. That one I tried ordering in a medium and it's pretty much too big and doesn't flatten as well. It's comfortable so that's a bonus. I rather wear that than a stupid bra, but I'm kind of at a loss with Loveboat and their sizing. If small doesn't fit good and medium doesn't fit good, wtf should I get lol. On the medium one I thought maybe I could just buy some additional velcro and sew it on but it's that mesh fabric - which brings me to another point ... while that mesh fabric makes it really comfortable and not as hot as the other binder I have, it's already starting to get funky (stretched out, messed up, etc.) and I have only had it maybe a month and a half.
I'm starting to think perfect-binder does not exist for me.

That's kind-of why I stick to underworks. I find that their sizing is pretty decent. According to size chart B I'm a 5XL. I'm a 40 DDD, but I'm afraid to order anything because it might be too big! I'm not sure how good love boat is about returning binders are.

Yeah, it binds very well for me. Which is a real wonder, being that I hardly even know it's there when I wear it. But it works, somehow. :)
