Title: Sticky Thighs and other moisture issues
Post by: Robin_p on August 13, 2011, 07:14:04 PM
I'm 2 months post op (June 6) and recently went back to work as a boat mechanic.  Being on my feet for 12 hours a day is no fun.

I recently got a rash almost  like a diaper rash and let me tell you it hurt like hell. I think it was from using to much lube in the morning before going to work and then just staying wet even though i was wearing panty liners. OMG, that piece of skin between the vagina and anus was so inflamed.

I had to use witch hazel and corn starch powder to alleviate all the discomfort and switch to smaller (#3) dilator.

Then i decided to wear a skirt to work. The morning commute on the train was not bad but, the afternoon commute was torture, my thighs were stuck together and getting off the train and down those stairs was interesting trying to walk at my knees.

all and all, such is the life........

Is there any itching?  I have a bad rash that I'm dealing with that both itches and hurts and the doc said it was a yeast infection.

I don't commute (or work) so I haven't faced a serious episode of rash. When I early on tried baby powder, I did it once. You think the lube and natural excretions work together to make a mess, try introducing powder into the mix. Such a horrid goop you never did see!

Perhaps there is an allergic reaction to the lube? Maybe switching lube might help. Cleaning after dilation can also get a lot of it, along with the folded 4 X 4s moistened that Dr. Leis put me on. I carried a baggie with replacements whenever I went out. As the dilation schedule deminishes that should help also. Time, our worst enemy (if we're lucky).
