Title: Happened to be on line, life is so fragile, a friend has just died
Post by: Cindy on August 24, 2011, 06:04:34 AM
I've just had a phone call, many of you and my other  friends call me and I love you; as you know.

A friend has just died form breast cancer in the last hour, just had the phone call.

She was a marvellous person. Aren't they all.

I do not need hugs or support.  I was and am reconciled to it.

She had breast cancer for twenty years, killed her in a week.

Next time you want to smite someone, next time you want to pour ->-bleeped-<- on someone, next time some ones opinion does not agree with yours. Next time you are the god or the goddess of the universe. Remember Bev.

She never did those things. She was a Mum to her three children.

All she wanted.

Vale Bev

Love you

Cindy

I'm a bit wrought, I hope I have not been rude.

Big virtual hug sis, even if you said you didn't need one.  You are right, life is too fragile and short to waste any of it on things that just bring other people down.
Karen.

Sorry for your loss Cindy.  Your feelings of loss are a reflection of the mark she left on you in her life.  I hope your feelings of extreme grief will pass soon and you are able to remember the good she did in the lives of those around her.

Hugs, Jessica

The best way to honor anyone's memory is to do good deeds in their name, allowing your love for them to pour over into love for others.  You, Cindy, have love and good deeds in spades.

May you and may Bev's family find peace in this difficult time. :icon_hug:

Not rude at all Cindy, not in my view.

I'm sorry to know of your loss.

I wish you well.

Cindy,

I'm sorry for your loss. This hits me close to home; my SO is battling cancer for two years now and I fear the end is near. :'(

CANCER SUCKS!  :icon_lemon:

Good advice Cindy, to remember Bev. and spread goodwill.

Any time I hear or read of someone dying I feel sadness for their life being cut short, and sadness for the loss experienced by friends and loved ones. I survived cancer, for which I am grateful, but I resent when cancer wins with anyone. I also appreciate hearing how wonderful Bev was and that her gifts will live on in her friends and children. Thank you for sharing.

It occurred to me that the reason "only the good die young" is we feel anytime is too soon for a good person to die. Bad people we feel live too long and their death was overdue no matter what age.

I also agree with you Cindy that life is sacred and we should treat each other with loving care.

Hugs

Kendall
