Title: Insurance?

Does anyone have suggestions on a good insurance company for college students? I attend college online and I don't believe my campus offers insurance but even if they did they are too far away to actually use.
I could go on my parent's insurance if I have to but at the point it would almost be cheaper to pay out of pocket because it's very expensive.
I hear a lot of people mention insurance on here so I'm curious, any suggestions?

The best and cheapest way to get on insurance is through your employer. Otherwise I don't know what to tell you.

Insurance is a pooled risk, the more people in the pool, the lower the cost. For a single person, it's huge. And you have a pre-existing condition, which is also going to jack the cost to high heaven. Recent changes in the law have made them stop from just excluding you outright, but they don't prohibit them from raising the rates.
One of the best ways for an unemployed person (or one not covered at work) to get cheap insurance is to start their own company and do it through that.

It would be worth checking if there is an expanded option of the college insurance that covers care off campus. I remember that mine covered physical therapy through someone elsewhere, but I don't know what else it would cover. If not the health center should be able to suggest other companies. Sorry I'm not much help.
Good luck!
