A FALKLANDS War hero who had a sex change after years of torment has found happiness - by rescuing FERRETS.
Kelly Curthoys - once a sailor called Kenneth - became an emotional wreck from living a double life as a woman in a man's body.
Now she credits caring for her furry pals for saving her.

A SEX-change Falklands War veteran has told how ferrets helped her tackle her psychological demons.
Kelly Curthoys, 57, was suicidal after two failed marriages and years of cross-dressing while suffering from gender dysphoria.

'When I was near to ending it all, the ferrets stopped me going the whole hog.
'It's as if they almost say "we can't live without you Aunty Kelly. Please don't leave us Aunty Kelly".'
